Wawa — Restaurant in Rocky Mount

Buyer beware the Wawa baked fresh daily pretzel in a bag 4.5 ounce you may want to think twice about it. That’s just my opinion.

First time stopping in there was quite a line to order your food, but it seemed to go pretty fast. I just wanted to try something quick and come back at a less busier time. This was right after the lunch rush. So they had pretzels and I figured you can’t go wrong with that, the information on the bag that the pretzels was wrapped in says baked fresh daily, and it may have been, but by the time it got to the store and they pulled it out of a box. It wasn’t fresh. It had “that taste “” to it. I don’t know if the bag might’ve had a little pinhole in it and air got in. I don’t know. I just know what I tasted, and it wasn’t nice, but this was just a first stop. This is my take on the one thing that I purchased. And I’ll stop in again. I’d like to try a few things little at a time because the layout of the store was beautiful. They were well staffed prices were not bad plenty of room at the pumps, easy in and out, so it was well thought out but buyer beware on the Wawa bake fresh daily pretzel not my kind of pretzel, but that’s just how I feel. I lived in VA where Wawas are plenty, and NC is going to have to step it up to align with their business model of being efficient. There's no way that at 5am I can order ONE thing that takes virtually no prep (oatmeal), with THREE staff in the food service area, and it still takes me 10 minutes AFTER fixing my coffee to get that item (it was not being cooked, I was just being ignored). Besides that, they constantly run out of coffee varieties, which isn't the staff's fault, but one of Wawas selling points are their coffee and keeping the coffee brewing is something that's typical of Wawa establishments. I've had to wait 10+ minutes multiple times for coffee to be brewed as well. I love Wawas but this one really needs to improve. I'm disappointed and would rather go to the Wilson NC location than this one, despite it being closer. Management, please make adjustments. I want to...

I'm not very impressed! I've been to several in VA, and they were great. Went this morning 10/18 was gone get gas and a coffee. Pulled up to the pump all, but 2 had people at them. After putting in my card, I went to pump gas, and nothing came out. So I pulled to the next pump and the same thing. Was a little irritated at that point, but I need my coffee. Got no issue. I told the lady at the register that they had 2 pumps not working, and her reply was none of them work. We don't have gas. Why not rope the pumps off or put bags on them since you don't have gas instead of wasting people's times. I feel that's a really bad start. I will just stick with Sheetz...
