I finally got to try the famous Chicago deep dish pizza (or stuffed, as some would describe this style) and it was worth the wait. We ordered the medium classic, which had pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers and onions, then we added Italian sausage. It arrived just about at the 45-minute mark from our order time, as explained by the server. It was simply delicious, and I could only eat two pieces or 1 quarter of the medium pie. While there, we discovered that there is a location slightly closer to my home in Columbus, so my next visit might only be 30 minutes away instead of a 6-hour drive.

I ordered online, a thin crust veggie with chicken breast and an italian beef. There's no parking lot which kind of blows. So I had to circle around but lucked up and found an available parking spot so I ran in and got my pick up order. That was done quickly with ease. The beef sandwich is a bit on the small side and they don't give a lot of fries. My best friend said it was pretty good and I think it was just okay. The pizza was fresh and good. But next time I'll put in the notes not to make the cheese to dark.

I do believe it's time to leave Chicago famous pizza in the past. It's absolutely disrespectful to the City of Chicago to serve burnt famous style pizza. The crust was like a crumbling cracker. I'm not upset just simply disappointed. The style and culture of this restaurant has gone way down. On to the next great pizza adventure. Maybe the pandemic has thrown away hospitality and passion. Passion must be put into everything thing we do if not it will come out like Giordano burnt pizza. Yikes!!!!

We opted to sit outside due to COVID, and the wait time to get our food was really long, but we didn't mind because we had plenty to talk about and catch up on and the patio is spacious and comfortable. Our waitress was Loren, who is the epitome of graciousness and professionalism. We ordered the vegetarian pizza, and, as usual, it was piping hot, filled with delicious cheese and topped with all those black olives, green peppers, mushrooms, spinach, onions. (Be careful if you're ordering pizza with olives because there was a pit on mine and you don't want to break a tooth...) Their pizza sauce is amazing, although the crust tends to be a tad too sweet for my taste (but is still excellent). All in all, the pizza is very tasty, the surroundings pleasant, clean washroom, lovely server, welcoming restaurant, friendly atmosphere. Please note that this is not the place for people in a hurry, but definitely the place for sitting down to an excellent, relaxing meal. We'll definitely be back. UPDATE: Today I was there by myself for a lunch special and once again sat outside. I was served by Elaina, who was excellent. She is an expert at being there for you without being intrusive--an art in itself. When it started pouring, there she was whisking my pizza away to be eaten inside. The caesar salad was good--salad, croutons, dressing. The deep dish pizza (only cheese and sauce) was a really big portion, and the pleasant experience made a dreary day so...

On 6/22 I ordered a deep dish 1/2 Italian sausage and 1/2 bbq pizza, and bbq wings. When the pizza arrived it was 1/2 Italian sausage and bbq chicken, 1/2 cheese. I called and spoke to Elaina, who took my phone order and she apologized. She offered a redelivery which would not be sufficient as we had already waited over a hour, were starved and were leaving for the evening. Instead we agreed on a credit for a replacement pizza at a later date. I assumed there would be no problem because I order from Giordanos at LEAST once a month, many times more. I called today 6/27 to redeem the replacement, the young lady I spoke to could not find a record of the issue and put the manager, Angel, on the phone. I recounted what happened and asked him to contact Elaina, he put me on hold, came back and said he couldn't reach her and offered a $5 credit until he could resolve the situation. I declined as I had not intention of giving them any more of my money in hope of a credit after the fact. I ended up ordering Pizza Hut, whom even though they are a budget quick service restaurant, provide significantly better service and right their wrongs without having to fight about it later. Shame...

In Chicago for the first time. We went to have “deep dish” for the first time. Our server was terrible. We order drinks from the bar and never got them. We couldn’t even remind her that we needed them because she never came to check on us. Someone else delivered the pizza to the table. It was barley hot. The cheese had started to harden that’s how not hot the pizza was. We had to flag down a different server to ask her to get our server. Asked for a box and she brought over a box so small we had to divide the pizza up to make it fit. Finally got our check and asked her to take the drinks off the bill because she never brought them to us. And she responded with “my bartender never made them”. No I’m sorry nothing. Just blamed someone else. The whole experience was terrible. The only good thing about it was the location. We sat outside and it was beautiful. I get it, it is a tourist spot. But when you are waiting for over an hour for a table and spending over $100 for 3 people to eat 1 pizza then it needs to be good. The food tasted 100% chain processed. Never again. Servers can’t control the food but they can control...
