Insomnia Cookies — Restaurant in Rogers Park Township

“warm cookies”, that’s what’s written on the door. At $3 a sugar cookie from a cookie place in a low key district of Chicago, what would one expect? An at-least-great big warm cookie, right?

Forget it. These are just decent but cold basic cookies that you’d find in any grocery store, sold in average at $5 for a box of 8. And indeed, they pull the cookies out of boxes stored under the counter, out of sight of the customer - of course. A rip-off at all levels (quality and quantity). 2 stars for atmosphere, bc they re open late. But after all, most grocery stores are as well..

Want a great $3 cookie? Just go to Potbelly. Not the best, but much better than these. Some businesses just deserve to fail. Seriously.

The positive reviews must be from next door students who refuse to acknowledge their buyer’s regret… that’s the only explanation....

Usually they are on point with their deliveries however last night, May 17, 2020 Jorge was our delivery guy and he messed up big time and had the nerves to be rude. We ordered at 11:40pm and he waited until 1am when they were closed to call us and say that he was at a wrong address and would not come deliver our cookies and ice creams to us even though the proper address was on the system which leads us to believe that he took them home. When they delivered the next day after we complained they gave us half of a medium cup of ice cream. I’m used to buying there so I know how much ice cream comes in a medium size cup. They officially lost a customer. When they finally came the delivery guy was in the car with 3 other...

Very friendly service. The brownie is so good and recommended. It's fudgy and full of mini chocolate chips, warm it up, put some ice cream and enjoy!

However, the cookies weren't the best. I got the peanut butter cup deluxe and the smores deluxe. They were big in size, sweet, very soft that you can't hold them. They will fall apart right away, that you will need a fork or spoon to eat them. The smores was better than the peanut butter. I felt the peanut butter buttom was like if eating a cookie dough rather than a baked cookie. It's a good spot for people who work/study late at night since they deliver until 03:00 in the morning.

It's a bit pricy, paid amost 12$ for 2 cookies...
