Been at that Starbucks many times. Many times I needed to use the bathroom to clean up . They never bothered me or made me feel unwelcome. Unfortunately there was a shooting there that made people scared. Uptown sure seems to have come along way. The barista is a young girl who is happy and working. I imagine she goes to school and needs to work part time to support herself. Nothing wrong with that. Freakonomics. We are all the same. Need to work together. Starbucks is fair. I wish I could afford it, but I think we will all be able to have a latte if we put it in the budget. I like good coffee. I just have to accept that I can't always get what I want. I have to work for it. Meaning karma is real. I really enjoyed that coffee today. Reminds me of my mom always stopping for Dillon and I to get our drinks. My favorite was the Carmel Macchiato. Dillon loved the cookie and graduated to the Frappuccino. I want all kids to have a Nana that can go through the Starbuck drive through and ask what the kids want. I love life today. Diversity. Truly learning by working together. Different countries same world. Reconditioned. Nature versus nurture. Love is...

The young lady who rung me up was very nice and so I tipped. Apparently, I was standing too close to the counter (which is completely enclosed by plastic, Covid dividers) for the passive aggressive barista. Then he rudely asked me to get back from the counter. Didn't try using soft language and it felt like he wanted a confrontation.
I backed away and didn't say anything, but it was unnecessarily rude. I understand he has no way of knowing that I am fully vaccinated, but I am wearing a mask and he is surrounded by material that amounts to an NBA backboard. I feel like people just get off on telling people what to do whenever they can. I'm probably not going to go back because Starbucks typically doesn't have anything I crave anyways. So maybe you should try being a better service professional or find...
Read moreNot perfect, but just a really nice, neighborhood Starbucks in the way many Starbucks just aren't, if that makes sense. Nice, shaded exterior patio. Inside ample seating at a big, central table, side tables, window stools, and a small bar area. Clean. Friendly staff. Logical line and drink pick-up areas. They don't blast the music. Strong Wi-Fi. Best of all, you constantly see people walk in and greet other regulars and the staff--it gives the place a huge community feeling. The only Starbucks I've visited in Chicago that manages to pull all this off is the one by the Montrose Brown Line stop. So if you like that place, you'll like this one, too. I'm closer to the Bryn Mawr Starbucks in Edgewater, but I travel out of my way to use this one because it's...
