Zalman's Hot Dogs — Restaurant in Rogers Park Township

I’ve been dying to try Zalmans since we first heard it was coming here. Haven’t had the chance to make it in yet. I finally caved and saw it on door dash, what a nice surprise. I never “judge” or take a first impression based on delivery because it’s usually not fair to the restaurant to judge their food after it’s had to travel. I ordered wings and fries, and before I even realized, boom, it arrived. Everything was hot and delicious!! Even the fries managed to stay hot, which is usually something impossible for delivery. The tangy wing , omg- tastiest chicken wing I’ve ever had. And it isn’t even fried!

If it’s this good coming from a grubhub delivery , I can only imagine how wonderful the experience will be when I finally make it inside. 10/10 wishing you guys continued mazal. Thanks so much! What a blessing for Chicago to now have...

I found the staff very friendly. I ordered a Jr Chicago style hotdog, a corn dog, fries and a drink. The pricing was reasonable for a kosher restaurant (my total was around $17) and the food was delicious!! I was very satisfied both with the quantity and the quality of the food. It did not take very long for my order (though they weren’t very busy at the time I went). Fries are made fresh to order. Great prices but with a catch: Not likely to get a full meal with a single order.

Unfortunately, meager food offering. The burger is 2 tiny slices that are often burned. Doesn't come with fries. Unless you buy the jumbo dog then the hot dog is the same you'd get in the supermarket. Fries are not bad but small serving.

Most recently it was 20 minutes late but that might have been a one-time issue.
