Hadn't been in a while and enjoyed the food! We ordered two pick 3 shrimp @ $22 - shrimp scampi and doubled up on the coconut shrimp, a pick 2 @ $18 - dragon shrimp (mildly spicy, sweet and sour battered fried shrimp) and shrimp scampi, seafood stuffed mushrooms, and chowder. Very good Coconut Shrimp. The stuffed mushrooms were well stuffed and tasty; chowder and biscuits were also tasty but I don't recall the biscuits being so fall apart (hard to catch all the pieces)! They offered a $5 drink special with a limited choice of a wine (red or white), a Blue Moon beer, or a small margarita-like cocktail which was fine for us. Called ahead on an early Saturday night to see how long a wait it was. Only 15 min but was added to the waitlist even tho we were 45 min away. Seated just a few min after we arrived so it worked out well. "Funny" that with my 90+ y-o mother walking slowly with a cane that we were seated way in the back section. The only issue was the mixed service. Server was a young lady. The soup came first but was followed quickly by the appetizer and all the entrees. Had to ask for a straw for mom's lemonade and twice for the biscuits that came at the end of the meal but I think she said she gave us a couple more because of that. With the table full of dishes, and none picked up, it was hard to pack the leftovers. Ok. But after the bill was dropped off, (and still juggling empty leftover boxes on my lap) the server came by for payment which I hadn't gotten to yet, and stood and waited for me to pay. This even prompted my friend to ask whether they were closing out - but no, since we were seated at about 7:30 and it was about 9 p.m. (Sorry, but that was unpleasant.) Did appreciate that the tip table on the receipt stated that it was calculated based on total incl taxes. Left a $21 tip on a $120 tab anyway, pandemic and all. Would come back for the food and hopefully improved service.
Update and Warning; returned recently. Food was good. Our favorite is still the coconut shrimp. And service was much improved - was seated in the bar section closer to the entrance for my elderly mom who has difficulty walking, water and biscuits upon seating, and removal of dishes until the last course. However, there was a mixup in our order. Only 2 of us ordered soup. One server brought one soup, another server then brought out two soups which we returned one to the kitchen. If the servers were confused, it's a good warning to check your bill which I didn't until after leaving where 3 soups instead of 2...
Read moreToday’s dining experience at Red Lobster in Lincolnwood was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I walked in, to the last bite of my meal, every aspect of the experience exceeded my expectations.
Let's start with the appetizer, the Garden Salad. It was a symphony of freshness, with crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, flavorful onions, and the dressing tying it all together perfectly. Each bite was a delight, setting the stage for what was to come.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the lobster tail. It was a sight to behold, not only in size but also in flavor and texture. Cooked to perfection, the lobster tail was succulent, tender, and bursting with the unmistakable taste of the sea. It was evident that only the freshest ingredients were used, elevating the dish to new heights of culinary excellence.
But the indulgence didn't stop there. My steak, cooked to perfection, was a masterpiece in its own right. Juicy, tender, and seasoned to perfection, it complemented the lobster tail beautifully, creating a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate with each bite.
And let's not forget the additional order of crab legs. Cooked to perfection, each leg was a treasure trove of sweet, delicate meat, further enhancing the dining experience and showcasing the culinary prowess of the kitchen.
I must commend the management of this Red Lobster location for their impeccable attention to detail and commitment to excellence. Every dish that came out of the kitchen was a testament to their dedication to providing the highest quality seafood and steak to their patrons.
The restaurant itself was impeccably clean, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere for diners to enjoy their meal.
In conclusion, my dining experience at Red Lobster in Lincolnwood was nothing short of exceptional. From the fresh, flavorful salads to the perfectly cooked lobster tail, steak, and crab legs, every aspect of the meal was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to excellence. If you're looking for a dining experience that combines fresh seafood, great steak, and the ambiance of Lincolnwood, look no further than this Red Lobster location. Highly...
Read moreNow it makes sense why Red lobster is filing for bankruptcy. Their service and their quality of food has gone down and I quite frankly I feel they will be closing soon.
Update: I was asked which Red lobster I am referring to... This Red lobster is located in lincolnwood, Illinois. Again, they do not support the reward program and their food standards have certainly going downhill. I will be going in with some other secret shoppers in the next couple weeks to do an update. You will see in the pictures that I was reached out by the owner. I will be fair. ----------------------+++---------- It's amazing how things have changed since I first went to this particular Red lobster. Just recently we went back and it appears that there's new management, new chefs and new servers, because this place certainly needs to go back to the basics. I did not want to have to update this review, however, I always want my viewers to get the real deal when it comes to food reviews
From the preparation of the food for the shrimp and the lobster they both tasted like buttery rubber, not mention the small serving sizes, especially with the pasta. Also, it appears that they're getting very cheap with their point system which seems to be completely null and void. They don't acknowledge that their lobster rewards are not added to accounts after the meals are paid for. I have been back three times since my first review. In each of those times. I've noticed that this place is definitely going downhill.
Very disappointing. -------------------------------------From the moment we entered, we were greeted by a very cheerful host. We were introduced to our server Haley who was very bubbly and welcoming. Had a terrific meal at this restaurant.
Again, our server was Haley who was very professional and checked on us periodically to make sure everything was perfect. Food was delicious, portions were fine, however the environment could certainly use an updating. However, I won't let that deter us from going back again because the service was wonderful and so...
