Do not order the foot longs and Check your bag!
Yesterday 07/18/2025 my father asked me to get some things from McAlisterâs, he wanted the Reuben and I wanted the footlong French Dip sandwich. I went over there and picked it up, before I got the bag I asked if they included the Au Jus sauce and they said it was in the box. Iâve had problems before with this location forgetting things, I was going to check but there were two boxes and mine was at the bottom of the bag. This was around 7:30pm and my father lives about 10 miles out of town. When I got out there there was no Au Jus sauce and it was too late to go back in for it (this location closes at 8:00pm on Saturdays). I did however call the supervisor Tish and explained the situation and asked if I could get a refund if I brought the sandwich and chips back (the entire order) to show I didnât eat it. The sandwich is rather bland and tasteless without the sauce. She said she would have to contact her GM and reach back out to me. Fast forward today I called her back and she said that they do not offer refunds on foot longs. The exact order I got, they could however offer me a VIP sandwich but it could NOT be a foot long meal.
So this was yesterday but I've had several issues in the past with them. My father loves the place but I constantly have to go back or go inside to get orders fixed.
07/06/2025 I ordered a Grilled chicken sandwich for my dad and an ice tea. They almost forgot the tea 05/23/2025 I ordered tea, a root beer and a choose two with a half Reuben and a half new yorker with a pickle and a McCalister's club with chips and a pickle. They forgot the Reuben, the pickles and the chips 04/21/2025 I ordered Chicken and Dumplings and country potato soup. The chicken and dumplings were right but they gave me some sort of tortilla soup in place of the country potato soup. 03/26/2025 I ordered the french dip again. Same thing, forgot the Au Jus sauce and I had to go back for it.
Long story short if you want to be safe CHECK YOUR BAG BEFORE LEAVING and I would recommend not getting the footlongs as Tish and/or her GM said that they cannot refund it. The only thing they can do is give you a voucher for a cheaper order after already...
   Read moreVery disappointed in the customer service. The manager informed us they were struggling to keep up with the few orders they had. I waited an hour for my food to come until my boyfriend went and asked where our order was. The boy at the counter said they lost our order and said itâd be another 30 minutes before we would receive our order because they werenât willing to put us in the front of the food line even though they were the ones who lost our order. I could have sworn I saw our order come out and the girl carrying our order barely looked around for our number and then put the food back in the kitchen⌠after the hour that we waited we went to get a refund and the boy at the counter let the manager know. She said she was too busy to come out. So we waited for another 10 minutes watching the cashier stare at the computer not willing to offer any solutions. I asked if weâre just expected to wait there after we waited for an hour for our food to get lost and he said he felt rude asking the manager again⌠there was no solution, and we werenât willing to wait any longer for a refund. Very disappointed in the service. We will be calling to request a refund. It would have been nice to have someone at the front able to provide any sort of solution. It also would have been nice to have a manager of a store able to be kind enough to customers and help them out as needed rather than running around in the kitchen panicking with 4 other cooks in the back. How hard can it be to throw a sandwich and salad together?
Canât even rate the food because I didnât get any, and nobody was willing to help me get the food I paid forâŚ
Update: McAlesterâs responded to my review and gave me McAlesterâs reward points for 1 entreeâŚ. They didnât offer my money back, and they didnât even offer enough points to cover my full cost (2 entrees and a drink).    Read moreLast 2 times Iâve stopped in itâs like itâs changed, not that busy but I ordered and as Sarah was filling my tea I tried to scan rewards on my phone on the scanner they have and it froze their system, yes it was my fault I froze it and they had to reboot their computer we were at but she made me feel horrible about it. The computers at my work freeze all the time and I donât take it out on our clients/patients. It took about 5ish minutes to reboot and get it working again but if your having problems with the scanner freezing the whole system every time someone scans for rewards then why not cover the scanners so people donât scan their phones through?? Instead of taking it out on people. Sarah seemed rude to me since I had walked in and taking my meal to the table, which my meal was also cold and missing things(not her fault on that).
