Here's a fantastic deli style restaurant located within the realm of downtown Rome, GA. that has such an extensive menu that it covers the entire length of a wall within the deli. The food quality and preparation is outstanding and it's a great place to either grab a quick sandwich or meal or simply take your time to enjoy the atmosphere while you eat. The menu's available food choices are also accompanied by a focus toward the health-conscious minded patron and proportions can be limited or quite hearty depending upon your preference. The prices are extremely reasonable and that's always a welcome feature at any eatery.

The deli is also an institution in the Rome area, having be established since 1978 so their experience is unrivaled. Gary, the original owner and previous to selling the deli operations to his son, is still there every Saturday to greet customers and to not only assure your complete satisfaction, but to demonstrate the sort of connection that a family owned enterprise can mean within the Rome community.

The menu is chock-full of Chicken Salad varieties that are almost staggering, complimented by wide a range of salads and deli sandwich and soup combinations able to meet the preference of any visitor. They also have great desert items and a range of soft drinks and bottled refreshment varieties to compliment your meal.

It's an absolute outstanding place to eat lunch or supper and it's sure to be added to your list of favorites as it has ours. I like the feeling of a nice deli, but this visit was just absolutely horrible. My mom ordered a "French Dip" sandwich with "Au Jus", and received a cold roast beef sandwich with French Onion soup to dip it in. When she raised the issue with someone who worked there, they told her that they just use the French Onion soup and usually drain the onions out of the soup. Sooo.. that's misrepresentation of what you are ordering, especially for people who don't like onions. Because of the way they handled my mom's complaint, I figured that my issue would be handled with the same sort of nonchalance and not fixed, too, so I didn't try. I ordered a Reuben, and though they clearly put it in a panini press, the meat and sauerkraut were both still cold, which was absolutely disgusting.

I moved away from Rome in 2016 but I still make sure to visit Duffy’s Deli whenever I’m in town. The ladies working are always delightful. The food is your basic soup, salad, and sandwiches but everything is fresh and tastes like it’s made from scratch. Their soups are all amazing but my favorites are their potato, broccoli cheddar, and vegetable. The value is also incredible. Today I got a whole sandwich, a cup of soup, a large fruit side, a bag of chips, a bottled iced tea, and a slice of pie for $18! That would easily cost...
