They need to get rid of/talk to long gray haired male day time bar tender that was working Memorial day. Walked in with 3 friends to get drinks, (one of which who served in the military), i had an empty can in my hand, I asked where I could throw it away. Was told "we are not your trash can" I explained we were going to do business with them not just using them to throw the can away, as there are trash cans all along the street. Yet he still seemed extremely unwelcoming. Note there was only one other customer in the whole place that I could see also sitting at the bar. My friend then said, "come on guys, he clearly doesn't want the business" then the long haired man screamed "GET THE F* OUT" several, several times. As we were already walking out. He also refused to give his name. We then watched him from the window of Mellow Mushroom as we had our drinks, he stood outside of Giggity's bar, arms crossed, scowl on his face, as if he was looking for us. People and bartenders at Mellow Mushroom all witnessed this. In addition to the 3 of us that walked in Giggity's for cocktails, we also had several other people in our group with us that would have also been patronizing the bar, not only then (midday) but we also planned on coming back that night to celebrate a female friends birthday. Thanks to this man, our business went to River Dog and Mellow Mushroom instead. This man is costing what appears to be a fun place good business, however we'll never know how much fun it is, because me, my friends, and family will never step in the door again. Sad that the public in Rome has to put up with a bartender that is so...
Read moreFirst time Giggity goer and probably my last time. My families giggity experience was less than stellar to say the least. The "sports bar" atmosphere was all but non existant with 2 walls of televisions playing silent ESPN content while an assortment of music played over the speakers. Multiple MLB games were on going during the time of our meal as well as NBA playoff games, none where on the TV's. The service was unbelievably slow, we sat for 15 minutes before anyone came to get our drink orders, we were 1 of 2 tables in the restaurant. We put in an appetizer, which we discovered later was missing nearly every aspect of the actual appetizer other than the chips. Our cups remained empty following our initial drink orders for nearly 30 minutes, to the point we were tempted to get our own drink refills from behind the bar. The restaurant had one working server, while the owner played darts up stairs with a group of people rather than tend to his bar and restaurant. We ordered our food finally, the waitress never asked how my father wanted his burger cooked so we hoped for the best when it came out. The food tasted good, though it took forever for the food to get ordered and come to our table. We asked for a baseball game to be put on the TV and the waitress either forgot or didn't know how, but the game never showed up. We had high hopes for a sports bar in rome, but this one needs work. It's never good when you're on Broad Street and can't fill the place during dinner. Hope this place turns it around before...
