Subway — Restaurant in Rome

The last two times I have been to this subway location I have been pleasantly surprised.

About a year ago the subway workers were rude and everytime did my online order wrong. When I received subway coupons in the mail I figured I’d give them a shot again. 4/2/2022 I came into the store around 1pm, it was a Saturday so they were more busy than usual. The three people working had great attitudes towards the customers and towards their coworkers. They were laughing and making everyone feel comfortable. I didn’t get their names but it was 2 boys and 1 girl. They made my three foot longs quickly and perfect! I was really surprised they worked so well between each other. They deserve some special recognition if the manager of this store reads these reviews.

2nd visit of the month. Today 4/14/2022. I ordered on the app this time. A foot long turkey with lots of veggies, oil, vinegar and other dressings. The sandwich was made and ready at the time it said it would be on the app. When I went inside the store to pick it up two older ladies were working who greeted me with a happy hello. My food was ready on the show and I told them thank you, they said thank you back. You could just tell it was a positive atmosphere. That’s such a hard thing to be able to have now a days. When I opened my sandwich at home it was neatly made, everything that was supposed to be on it was there, and it wasn’t soggy at all.

The silver lining when Sam the manager refused to take my order is for the less than the price of a 12" Subway sandwich Great China and Soho Japanese Restaurants have absolutely great food and the best service and they are locally owned and operated. Until today Subway had great service. The personality of the kids working 3-6 alone has made the 20 minute wait tolerable. I didn't have 20 minutes to wait today so I tried to order via call in order. The 1st 2 attempts resulted in Sam hanging up on me as she said she couldn't hear me. The third time she hang up on me for talking too loud. So I drove there where Sam refused to serve me for "yelling " at her on my 3rd attempt to place my order. My family and I have owned businesses going back to the Exxon and convenient store we in the 1970's and 80's and have noticed a huge change in service the last month and was shocked at Sam for letting her emotions push her to lose her temper...

I have had several bad experiences here and it truly saddens me that the prices keep going up and the quality of service keeps going down. I had a VEGGIE DELIGHT no cheese delivered the sandwich was 7.99 I received 1.99 worth of food. Black olives wasn't even an option on the sandwich. Please make a sandwich that is worth 7.99. At least make a sandwich you would like to eat. It was dry with the smear of mayo 3 leaves of spinach 3 pickles and a half a handful of lettuce.Been in store several times and they are out of several veggies like you could have said im out of lettuce and tomatoes and I could have decided if i wanted to proceed, AAANNNNDDD they don't even take coupons anymore.
