We go through this airport quite a bit and, unfortunately, will have avoid this particular restaurant going forward. The customer service is genuine (the only reason why I didnt give them a 1 star), and the decor/ambiance is great, but they are WAY too slow for an airport location (or a standalone).
At the time of service (615pm) the restaurant was maybe 60% occupied and was GENEROUSLY staffed. The hostess took our drink order right away. But, despite it never being completely busy, that was the last prompt service mark of the evening.
It was 10 min later before we received water, and another 5 min before we received the one beer on tap. We ordered entrees as soon as we received the water, but it would still be another 35 min before we received the entrees. Altogether, thats 45 min from sitting down before we even started eating...at an airport location.
About 20 min after ordering our entrees, we began to get a little nervous, and we hadn't seen our server anywhere. We asked another server if they could let her know we were looking for her. After 5-10 min with no sign of either servers, we flagged down the shift manager to ask her. Finally, the food came, along with our server. I apologized to her for being bombarded by requests from us, she looked surprised and said no one had said anything to her. Then, explaining that we were concerned about our boarding time, we asked her for the check right away. To her credit, our server already had it printed out and she gave it to us. We immediately gave her our card. But, instead of quickly returning with our card and the receipt, she disappeared from the floor again for another 10-15 minutes WITH our card.
All being told, the server had a lovely personality, though I wondered if she was sick or something. The manager was busy the entire time circulating and bussing tables, but didn't actually improve...
Read moreI must say that typically I avoid these corporate run chain-style steak establishments at all costs, but I happened to be at the airport and needed a quick meal before catching my flight. I reluctantly chose this place because it was literally in the closest proximity to where I was in the airport at the time. I also did not have steak, because that would have been much too heavy for a lunch/plane ride, so I opted for a surprisingly delicious chicken sandwich and a beer or two. Nothing fancy, nothing complicated, but it hit the spot and did the job.
This location is obviously a fraction of the size of a normal stand alone Longhorn Steakhouse location because well, it's in the airport and that would be a bit strange for them to to a full size restaurant into a place where people spend such a short amount of time. That's really neither here nor there though, beyond the fact that if you found yourself here on a overly busy day, you might have a bit of a wait because this place as previously stated is pretty small.
Beyond that, this particular location is clean, and the employees are friendly, professional, and proficient. The chicken sandwich I got was surprisingly delicious, and I left feeling just the right amount of full for my flight. The beer was also cold, and went down smoothly.
Would I typically recommended Longhorn as a whole if you're looking for a quality, well cooked (to your personal specifications) cut of meat? Probably not, but I would absolutely recommend this particular location for a quick bite before or after your flight. It's a (hopefully quick) in and out and then you can carry on your merry...
Read moreWorst experience I have ever experienced at a restaurant in an airport.
Slowest service - my wife and I got to the front to wait to be seated and it took 10 minutes for someone to come over to seat us. Then another 10 minutes to ask if we wanted a beverage. Let it be noted too that WE WERE THE ONLY CUSTOMERS AT THE TIME. All the waitresses and staff were standing around not doing ANYTHING.
Then after we ordered, the waitress brought the check and told us they were closed. But they close at 10 and it was 9:20! HA! What a joke!
tell me they ran out of French onion soup with no apology.
Then the food came out with mine and my wife’s sides switched from what we ordered. The waitress did not offer to fix it or apologize.
Then I cut into my chicken and this is the worst part -
MY CHICKEN WAS RAW! PINK! And slightly bloody still!
I called the waitress over who didn’t ask how our meal was - who rudely didn’t even apologize again and asked me what I wanted to do about it instead of offering to cook me a new plate or take it off the bill.
I told them to take it off the bill and the waitress told us again they were closed so we had to hurry up. We were already there for 45 minutes with all wrong orders so we got the RAW CHICKEN taken off the bill and got the hell out of there.
And the manager did come over and did not offer an apology either. She simply just took my plate away and never came back.
I will never go here again and you SHOULD NEVER GO HERE. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS - IT IS NOT WORTH RISKING FOOD POISONING FOR A LAZY, CARELESS,...
