Absolute lack of professionalism from staff 6/11/2017 at about 9 PM. No one seemed to be in charge, and there were a ton of employees working there, but few seemed to be doing anything. They told the customers several spots ahead of me in line that there was no queso. When they got to the customer directly ahead of me, they decided to "open another bag" (of queso). But that decision turned into a drama filled fiasco, as the staff argued in front of customers about who was going to get the queso, or if they were even going to open another bag. By this point I was the next customer, and had placed my order for a burrito. The line stopped however, because of the confusion over the queso, while the employees argued and put each other down. There was more playing going on than working. The customers were all looking at each other in bewilderment as if they were asking each other if this was really happening. Eventually the queso arrived, but then the girl working the beginning of the food line decided to reorganize all the trays with ingredients for the burritos. She didn't know how to though, so it took her and two other employees a few minutes before they figured it all out. By the time they were done, I had been asked five times if I wanted rice and beans. The original tortilla the girl had put in the tortilla press had been in there so long the parts of it were burned. The whole thing was solid and could've been thrown to the other side of the terminal like a frisbee. She looked up at me as though she was asking if it was still all right with me if she used it, before another employee reached out and grabbed it and threw it away. We started over again with a new tortilla and I was asked yet again if I wanted rice and beans. The rest of the process went a little faster as I moved down to another employee working the line. Everyone of them was rude in tone though, as though my presence was offensive to them. In hindsight, I should have left and gone somewhere else.
To top it all off. . . No napkins. "We don't got none," they told customer after customer. How do you run out of napkins?
The rice in my burrito was undercooked and a little chewy, and the parts that were supposed to be warm(those rice and beans) were room temperature. It was a bit smaller the average Qdoba burrito.
Love having a Qdoba in the airport, but this one badly needs an overhaul in management, and a complete replacement of staff. It's barely a functioning restaurant, and given the lack of professionalism among the employees, I wouldn't be surprised if food safety is lacking. I won't be returning...
Read moreProbably the worst food experience I've ever had, period. March 9, 2025 at approximately 2PM. To start off, this location did not have brown rice, pinto beans, fajita vegetables, pickled onions, and jalapenos. Right off the bat, the workers had an attitude and everyone seemed very inexperienced, especially the lady actually putting the food together. She would use her hand to scoop and roll her eyes calling her co-workers slow with an attitude (ironic considering they were putting more effort into doing their job correctly.) The man in front of me had a simple order: Steak, rice, and cheese. She ended up putting spicy queso onto his burrito, then yelled at him and other customers when he asked for it to be remade. She stood there for about 15 seconds just blinking before getting rid of the burrito. When I asked for spicy queso, she neglected to give it to me. She did not know what half of the ingredients were, as customers would have to point and tell her what was right. When I asked for habanero salsa in my bowl, she gave me medium salsa. I then proceeded to nicely ask for salsa roja considering I wanted my bowl to be spicy. She gave me salsa verde in a cup instead. So when I asked for chips, it cost almost 5 dollars. Half of the chicken pieces were burnt and inedible. I had not noticed she did not add my spicy queso to my until after I had paid, so i went up to her co-worker to ask for it. She politely got some for me, but it was regular queso. Paid $18.49 for a bowl, and I could barely...

Today I went to the Qdoba at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport for the first time. The service was atrocious. The was one woman that was giving the customers any quality service (presumably a manager), and she seemed frustrated at 2-3 other employees that were not keeping up with the flow of patrons. When I was at the front of the line there was a point when none of the 4 employees I had seen behind the counter were visible or helping us for what felt like minutes. The gentleman that ended up fulfilling my order seemed inconvenienced that I was deciding to spend my money at his employer’s restaurant. His demeanor was cold and lazy and as he was scooping corn or salsa, half of which was spilling from the ladle into the other ingredients (a health concern on top of being nonchalant and unprofessional). This also led to small portions of each item I requested. I’m not sure he ever even looked me in the eyes.
On top of this, when I finally got my meal and was able to eat, it was the most bland experience I have ever had between Qdoba and Chipotle (and this coming from someone that got queso and 3 different salsa in their bowl).
Incredibly disappointed in my experience with Qdoba today. I only resorted to Qdoba because the Chik fil-A immediately next to it was closed on Sunday. It’s safe to say I will never make that...
