The place is a small, mom&pop shop type of establishment that is specialized in BBQ in a simple but tasty way. Not much of sauce selections or meat marinated in fancy or exotic ingredients. Just good old fashion salt and black pepper, grilled distant enough from flames so you can have the best flavor possible from the meats. I’ve beef and pork ribs, but they also have chicken, sausages and fresh deep fried empanadas (that’s what they call it, but in Brazil or Portugal, it’s called pastel). By the way, the US and Portugal flags outside make you believe that once you’re stepping in, the greeting will come in Anglo/Luso way, but the chefs are not from that side of Europe whatsoever, so don’t be surprised. But that doesn’t mean that food quality was affected negatively. My dish came out deliciously flavorful enough to make me leave the place absolutely satisfied and eager to write them this recommended. I’m very skeptical about where to write about, so if I dedicated my extra time to share an experience with the world, it’s because it worth the time spent, either because it was awful and people need to know about, or if it’s excellent, as this place that totally deserve a visit. Now, having said all that, here are a few things to keep in mind: if you wanted to have the food for your family, just give them a call and order for take out. It’s not very family friendly because it’s too small to have more than 2 people together eating and talking comfortably. Also, because of the limited space and closeness to the grill, the place felt warm, but due to the great exhaustion system they have, you won’t leave the place smelling like you’re also grilling in there as well. And finally, parking, that’s a bit of a difficult, so you wanted to come from the streets on the side and park your car there or just quickly stop to pick up your take out, as in front of the place, which is in a corner, is prohibited to park between 6am-6pm mon-fri, obviously you won’t find spot to park on the weekend as residents and guests will have their cars around and possibly occupy the little spot.
