A & G Luncheonette — Restaurant in Roselle

Ive been going to this spot since i moved to the roselle area in 1999. I used to go in the mornings before elementary school with my dad. We would get a breakfast sandwich (Pork roll eggs and cheese) and i would get a snapple to go. Fast forward 20 years and im still going to this spot well into my 20’s.

This is quite possibly one of the best diner style breakfast spots in the county. And its so underrated and under appreciated. Im truly happy that this place has continued to survive throughout the pandemic.

Its such a nice mom and pop type of affair. Where they truly care about providing the absolute best service and food they can.

I normally order their pancakes with scrambled eggs and a side of french fries. Very fluffy pancakes, fully cooked eggs, and the Fries come very crispy and crunchy. The food in general is nice for those that are diabetic and need to monitor their salt intake. They dont over do it with the grease like certain diners do. Very minimal seating but i always tend to find a spot whenever i go with my girlfriend.

A great hometown luncheonette that is family operated and looks like it is right out of a 1940’s film set without trying to be cute. I go for the flattop grilled chili dogs and a Stewart’s orange-cream soda. No need to put on your glasses to read the menu since it is above the counter in billboard size.
