Some of the best Ecuadorian food, but do not come for the pizza or sub sandwiches. Very friendly service and I absolutely love their kind and friendly attitudes. However, the food being prepared is slow and while it may have pizza in the name, that is NOT its specialty. From what I could gather in other reviews, there was a recent change in ownership. To the new owners, you have some great food, but you are not marketing yourself appropriately. As a consumer, perhaps you could remove the pizza and subs, or take some time to understand how to make the pizza unique for you. Keep the pizza but give it a unique spin. The pizza right now tastes cheap. It looks cheap and it reminds me of high school in a bad way. A lot of others comments say there is a lot of cheese and I agree. But I LOVE cheese. So that shouldn't be an issue. It's the quality and the way it is cooked that is the problem. There's no flavor other than bread and cheese. It's not good. The sub sandwiches were average, however the bread was cooked too long and pretty much burned on the bottom. I don't generally leave lower reviews for places that I had a good experience with (in terms of the service) but this restaurant needs to figure itself out. Keeping one foot in both Ecuadorian and the original pizzeria may not work out. Lean into your strength, because the single Ecuadorian dish I ordered was delicious. I wish them the best of luck but I won't be back for the pizza or subs. Way too expensive for that kind of quality. Update: I thought it was obvious I loved their food but didn't like the pizza and subs. I want them to do well and I thought it would be good advice to lean into what they're good at because they DO have good food. I wanted to see this business do well...but after their unprofessional reply, I suppose my criticism was taken in a negative light. That wasn't my intention. I love seeing small businesses thrive so it's sad to see that negative response. I won't remove my review as it is all my true experience but I still wish them the best even if what they said was unprofessional and hurtful.

6/25/24 Update: this place is still great! I stopped in randomly, not feeling like cooking. The owner and her family running the place are a lovely Ecuadorian family. Apparently they serve an Ecuadorian menu on the weekends (in addition to their regular American pizza, burgers, sandwiches menu). I had the Cajun chicken pasta which was excellent. Not too spicy. They have a more casual front area for quick bites, and then a dining room with full bar, and patio as well. Highly recommend! This place is in a small strip mall next to a laundromat... I truly wasn't expecting too much but needed to grab a bite to eat. I was really surprised at the caliber of this place. Not only is their pizza delicious but the owners are Greek and have some wonderful Greek items on the menu as well. The Greek salad is really delightful, fresh and has a zesty dressing. I also tried the spanikopita (spinach, feta in a phyllo dough) which had some great unique flavors, perhaps lemon and dill. Definitely going to be coming back!

UPDATE 2025! New owners and I love it. Still has the old stand by of pizza and Philly cheese steaks. BUT now they have an Ecuadoran menu, as well. I had the combo of cheese stuffed fried mashed potatoes, the chorizo sausage, 2 eggs, pickled onions and the hoise sauce. Incredible! All the flavors combined perfectly and I couldnt even finish my plate. I'm not normally a sausage fan but the chorizo was perfect. Not too dry, not too hot, not too greasy. Yum! I'm not sure if the Ecuadoran options are only on the weekend or every day. We came on a Sunday. I'll be back and I'm bringing friends. xcellent gyros and cheese steak sandwiches. Haven't had the pizza. Good cocktails for very low prices. Go there a few times and the staff remembers you.

T.O.P.S. used to be our favorite place to go for cheese steak sandwiches, however, after our last experience, we will never return. I ordered our usual order...a classic cheese steak and a hoagie cheese steak, and I picked it up myself. When I got home, the hoagie cheese steak had no steak in it. It was vegetarian.

I called T.O.P.S. to discuss discuss the problem, and the person I spoke to apologized and said they'd deliver a correct sandwich to me. No problem so far, excellent experience. However, a few minutes later, the manager (or perhaps owner) called me back. He said that they have my address listed as one that regularly makes this claim, possibly to get free food. I told them that I've NEVER returned food to them, so they must have my address wrong. They then described my location as behind Hy-Vee (which is not correct, so obviously something is wrong with their info). However, he still claimed they have me listed as someone regularly claiming orders get messed up.

I then asked them if the last order that they claimed I returned was a delivery. They said yes. I said great! When the delivery person arrives they can confirm that they've NEVER had food returned from my address. EVER. The person then pivoted to saying they have 5 delivery people so it could be anyone.

I have never been so angry with a restaurant in my life. I got a constant run around from this person. I don't know if they were simply trying to get out of correcting my order, or if the info they had on my address was wrong. But I will never do business with this establishment again. It's a shame as it's a small, family owned business with truly exceptional cheese...

Went to eat at Tops for the 2nd time since the new owners took over. First experience was pretty good. Our young female server was very pleasant and did a good job with our service. Burgers took a while to get but they were good as well. This time not so great!! We ordered the Tops pizza. While placing our order with our server Justin, we asked if we could only have green peppers on half of the pizza and asked if we could have green olives on the other half. Justin informed us that the owners/cooks get MAD if people request substitutions. REALLY...THEY GET MAD??? I asked if he would request them anyway since it didn't say that no substitutions were allowed on the menu. After placing our order Justin never returned to our table. We did not get any refills until after our pizza was delivered by a female server. When we started eating our pizza it was clear there were no green olives on the pizza. After some time Justin came back and asked us how our pizza was. I stated it would have been better if it had green olives on it. He laughed and said, "I asked and they said no!" I then asked him why he didn't come back to let us know that we were not going to get green olives, and again he laughed and said, "I guess I could have." I said that would have been nice since we could have decided if we wanted to pay for green olives instead. He laughed again and said, "yeah if you want to pay three bucks." He was extremely rude and very arrogant! Needless to say we will not be back again, and Justin did not earn himself a tip with...
