I just had a baby and I have a lot of family in town to visit. We love Brookfield so much we bring them here as our treat to them on their visit. No one is ever dissatisfied. I am writing this review based on several visits so I do not remember all the servers names but we had Tiffani today in Roseville. I brought my mother in law last week and she liked it. I brought my father and sister in law this week and they loved it as well. I have also brought my mother and grandmother to the one on Madison. The first Madison trip with my mom was good. My grandmother was not happy with her Madison trip because the servers kept passing us without asking if we needed anything and my grandma likes her coffee refilled. The second trip for her was better. Never had any issues after that with our trips to Madison and our Roseville trips are always perfect. Everyone was impressed by how great and fresh the food is here. Everything is always amazing, they accommodate our large party well. Only issue was I don't eat pork and both weeks I asked to trade my bacon for turkey sausage and they gave it to me but still put bacon on my plate. No big deal I moved it but it gets frustrating because I can't eat whatever the bacon touches. Other than that, the meals are always perfect, flavorful and delicious. Bruce's naturally sweet is the best with the apples on top no syrup needed. My husband loves the chicken fried steak. And my kid's always do the dollar pancakes. It's an amazing home cooked meal from very friendly staff and good people all around. Madison I'm not fond of the area and both are an equal distance from my house. Either way the service and food are superb. I will say just for new comers the juices are freshly squeezed, they have a butcher shop and plenty of homemade preserves and bakery items. The food here is garbage. & to add insult to injury, they are way too overpriced for what you actually get. We ordered over $70 worth of food & everything arrived VERY soggy & VERY cold, & had no flavor at all, was VERY bland. Neither of us could finish our meals it was so bad. EVERYTHING, from the rice, veggies, fish, fries, etc...tasted like yesterday's leftovers, or frozen food that was kept under heat lamps all day, cooked in bulk, waiting for someone to order it so it could be slightly reheated. The only items that tasted decent were the cornbread & appetizer zucchini slices. If they charged cheap Denny's prices, I'd just chalk it up to 'well we got what we paid for'. But we sure didn't get what we paid for. Absolutely not a meal worth $70+ dollars. Then we order breakfast instead another month later, just to give them another chance, & again, nothing was fresh, everything was cold, soggy, & undercooked, from bacon to eggs. We also got a cinnamon roll instead of french toast & the guy at the restaurant told us that's what cinnamon french toast is (then they should call it 'cinnamon ROLL french toast') but on doordash it shows a photo of regular French toast. He said he can't control that & will mention it to corporate, but we'll see if I ever get a call. So word to the wise, you may get something different than what you think you're ordering, & your food will be cold, soggy, & undercooked. We will never be eating at or getting delivery from this restaurant again. This is the worst food we've both ever had, especially for the price. I wish I could give this place a better review. It's mostly an older crowd that dines here. Very homey feeling, like going to grandma's house. The food is usually on the better side. My only issues I've had here are the dishes have consistently been dirty. Dirty silverware and make sure you check your child's plastic cup. They're supposed to be one time use, but I suspect they 're use the ones left behind. Too many floaties found in my childs drink if you know what I mean. The last visit I had at this location should earn them a one star rating. The food was not the best, but the service was horrible. Our waiter literally surpassed any bad dining experience I've ever had. First off my old lady ordered the bottomless mimosas. Unfortunately our waiter couldn't be bothered to bring her a refill. Unfortunately he was more interested in clearing plates that we were still eating off of. It's really upsetting because I paid a descent amount to feed my family that night and to have plates removed that still had food without at least giving us the decency of asking us first was very disappointing. Our waiter literally at one point did a drive by snatching of a plate I wasn't finished with. I didn't even have the chance to stop him it was so fast. Anyways I complained to management and received an apology via email, but really? What about my food that was thrown out?
