Always triple check your order, almost every order has had a mistake in my experience. Things missing, wrong size, or wrong item. And often it feels like I am arguing with whoever is in charge to fix it. Any attempt to speak to most staff in the front will not work as they don't understand what I'm saying.
Today I was given a value size when I paid for a small size drink. I was told they were out of small size cups so they gave me a value size instead, but I paid 90 cents more for the small. Had to point this out and get it fixed.
The very worst experience was ordering the Fiery Combo. Instead of a Fiery Sprite, they gave me an empty cup even though guests do not have access to the syrup that is supposed to be added, they expected me to just go fill it up with a regular drink. Had to point this out and get it fixed. When I got my food, I noticed they did not put in the Fiery Chicken Fries in the bag. Had to point this out and get it fixed. When I was given the fries, I was not given the Ranch dipping sauce that comes with it. Had to point this out and get it fixed. When I started eating the Fiery Whopper, I noticed it had mayo instead of the fiery sauce. It was a regular whopper. Had to go back and tell them to fix it. When they gave me a replacement, it was a chicken sandwich, not a whopper. Had to point it out and get it fixed. When I was waiting for a replacement sandwich, cleaning staff had come by and threw away my drink which I only took two sips from. Had to go back and point it out and get it replaced.
I have ordered an ice cream cone and they gave it to me in a cup. When I asked for it to be served in a cone as ordered, they put one on top of the ice cream in a cup and laughed, thinking that was appropriate. Had to point this out and get it fixed.
I recently waited 20 minutes for the new frozen pink lemonade because they forgot to have it prepared that day, eventually had to argue for a refund because I had ran out of time to wait.
I have never been offered any kind of compensation or extras for these mistakes. I like BK and the food is fine when I actually get it, which is the only reason I go back now and then but they definitely are not to be trusted to get it right...
Read moreI have lived in the area most of my life and have got to say that after this last experience, I can never go back to this place again. Everyone knows that when going to a fast food chain you are not going there for a "dining experience". Like most people, you are going there for convenience, craving, or, your just plain drunk and no other place is open. That being said, the food is in the category of get what you pay for. What is most unfortunate however is the caliber of people that these places hire. I can't really blame Burger King for this. After all, they can only hire people who fill out applications. And from my experience, this has to be the most inept, unqualified, unprofessional, and downright pathetic souls to roam the planet. It simply astounds me at level of incompetence displayed by not only the employees, but by the so called managers in charge of these morons. I don't know who to be upset with more, the idiots behind the counter/drive-thru, or myself for falling once again for the promise of a fair exchange of money for "food". What is most galling of this whole experience is that our legislators are working very hard to achieve legislation that would pay these baboons $15/hr for such substandard performance. REALLY?!!!! It may sound like conspiracy, but I believe our elected officials are behind keeping these derelicts employed. I know they have already perfected automated fast food restaurants and I believe the government is subsidizing the major players to not implement these plans. Just another guy who's had a couple and gone off on a rant after having a simple order of onion rings screwed up(15 MINUTES PEOPLE!!!) or somebody who's telling it like it is? Never again. Not BK, not Arby's, not McD's, not Wendy's ever again. It's time to put these places out...
Read moreThey have a lot of outdated signs for deals and menu items that are no longer offered displayed outside the restaurant. When I went into the restaurant to inquire about one of these items, it's like they didn't understand what I was talking about and immediately asked what kind of Whopper I wanted. I should also mention the interior had Christmas decor up– it is August as I write.
The employee stepped away after roughly my third time explaining, and I spoke to his manager with my question: Is the limited-time menu item still available, because the sign is outside and does not have a date? I received virtually the same response from her.
Both employees just repeated the same thing at me no matter how I phrased the question. It was like speaking to an AI chatbot instead of another human being. I understand struggling with English if it isn't your first language and falling back on scripted responses if you aren't sure, but if you don't understand me, please, just be honest! It was a painful and awkward interaction when it didn't need to be.
Ultimately, they got my order wrong, which was unfortunately not a big surprise as the girls in front of us had to correct their orders, too. I would've liked those onion rings, but I was too exhausted to bother with what I assumed would be the mythic feat of explaining my plight.
I should also mention there was absolutely no music playing, and the acoustics inside are crazy. I could hear just about every conversation going on from where I was sitting, including that of the kitchen staff. Really odd atmosphere.
Please remove the outdated, confusing signage outside (and interior decor, unless it's meant to be a festive location) and let your employees be people and not worker-robots, and I'd gladly change my review to a...
