Made a reservation for my mother's birthday party. She wanted to go to the last place where my father ate it before he passed away. Let them know when I made the reservation that this was a surprise birthday party, that there would be mostly elderly people coming, and they would need to be seated right away. They assured me that that would not be a problem whatsoever. Get there, that did not happen. The manager or whoever he was was super rude about it and was yelling at us. We had balloons and a cake. I asked him to put the cake in the refrigerator, and he asked me why he would do that, and it's not his job to put a cake in the refrigerator that's not theirs. I asked him what he tied the balloons on to the chair before the birthday girl got there he said no at first I said you mean you cannot tie these balloons to the chair we went back and forth about tying some balloons to a chair I tried to overlook the fact that he was refusing to see this and it was going to ruin the surprise by the time the birthday girl got there he's arguing with all the party members of the birthday party and my mother just burst out start crying we still ate at the restaurant because she wanted to eat at the last place where my father ate it before he passed away. One of the waitresses that were working with the manager was very very very very rude to us and told one of the other patrons who were a part of the party that she had to pay an extra 20% gratuity because she was using a gift card this became a huge issue and then she wanted to discuss it with the whole table proposed to having the conversation with the person that was paying her bill we kept telling her that is not to be discussed with us you need to discuss it with the person that's paying the bill. I will never come back to this place again and will not recommend anyone even going to this place. They're rude and nasty people. I'm highly disappointed, and they ruined my mother's birthday party. Not only that, the smell in the place...
Read moreMy family went to this restaurant and about a month ago and had a good experience. The food was surprisingly good. We were in the mood for Japanese food again tonight and so decided to head over to Osaka in Roseville. We got the RUDEST server I have had in years. The food was good, but the rudeness of our waitress was mind blowing. We are going to a restaurant where we will be spending $100+ for a family of four and we got the service of a high school cafeteria food worker.
The kicker was when the server brought out the starter soups. We didn't realize that the hibachi meal came with onion soup as a default. So we asked if it was possible to swap that out for a miso soup. The waitress in a very sour tone said "you should have told me before when you ordered. Next time make sure you order that in the beginning." I was STUNNED. I can understand if they had brought out a steak and I had stated that I made a mistake and meant to order chicken. But we are talking about a less than $2 bowl of appetizer soup. I'm paying $100+ for this meal. I don't need to be lectured about a $2 bowl of soup that costs them almost nothing. She was rude the whole time making us feel like asking for anything was a complete inconvenience for her.
She ruined our meal and our evening.
Will not go there again. There are other options that are good even if I have to drive...
Read moreSHAME ON YOU!!! After calling ahead and being told that your restaurant could provide an allergy-safe meal for my daughter, she was left without a meal at all at your restaurant. How could that happen? She told the server during the ordering process that she needed an allergy-safe meal from the kitchen, as I was instructed on the phone, and the server never once returned to the table. My daughter had to track down another server when it became apparent that her food was not arriving, and didn’t even get an apology when the server told her that the kitchen forgot to prepare her meal and now her food would not be ready in time before the rest of her group finished their meals. It’s mind-boggling the number of people who let her down: the manager who I spoke to on the phone and who seated her at the table, the chef who cooked the meal for the rest of the group and could see that her meal had not arrived, the kitchen staff who never prepared her allergy-safe meal, and the server who never once returned to the table. I am beyond saddened and disappointed. I hope you will treat others with life-threatening allergies better than what my daughter experienced last night. We will...
