To me the store seems too cluttered with bad spacing of furniture and I kept tripping on all the rugs that they had down. The customer service is horrid because it took someone over 15 minutes of us looking around for someone to notice us because they were too busy talking at the cashwrap. When someone finally did realize we were in the store the guy kept trying to get us to buy leather furniture. We found two chairs that they had on clearance and decided to get them. While the guy was ringing us up we noticed that he "accidently" put one of the chairs at full price and we reminded him that they were both at the same price. He also told us that they were in stock at the warehouse and we would have them by a certain date in the next two days. I took off of work that day and no delivery. I called to find out what was going on and come to find out that they were totally out of stock of the color we wanted and we received no phone call to let us know. He informed us that they would be in the next week so I waited yet another week with no phone call again. I contacted the general manager and asked to return them for my money back. He then told me that they had it in another color the whole time and I decided that I would just go with that. Finally we got our chairs after 4 weeks of BS. Over all I will never go back there again. I get my furniture else where and have been very happy with their customer service and have not been...
Read moreBlack Friday shopping for a mattress that was on sale for $100well when standing in line the first customer asked the clerk the question how many beds did your store get? the clerk replied “six”, there were 3 separate line containing at least 6 people in each line everybody in my line wanted a bed so a immediate panic broke out the first gentleman cracked jokes because he knew he got his bed so as he left he called out the pecking order which everybody heard and agreed on including the clerk, I was number 6 so as the clerk sold the beds and it got to my turn he skipped over me and looked at a Caucasian fella that had just walked up and told him he was next, I felt like this was super discrimination due to the fact that we were all included on the pecking order and the clerk went by exactly that until it came to my turn, then the clerk lied and said he had been talking to the man earlier “ Ahh no you weren’t because I been right here since the store opened and you were talking to our group and he was no where around, FYI I was the only black person...
Read moreThis review is for our experience at Slumberland and with our salesperson Susan. Will post again after we get our new rocker/recliner. We usually try to avoid salespeople when we shop and prefer to wander, but when Susan welcomed us, she was so genuine and open that we stuck up an easy rapport. We have her a brief description "a narrow profile recliner." She led us straight to an option, on the way assessing our (very) different heights and determining that this could be a factor. We both loved it. And it DID fit us both. We looked at one other chair we had seen in an ad, and it was not quite right. Susan pinpointed for me (the taller) why it would always annoy me because it left me "stargazing" instead of comfortably looking forward. In short (okay, in long) it was a great experience, we found what we wanted, it was fun shopping, and we left feeling great about our choice. ...
