Update!! As you can see Panera was so kind to reach out to me to make it right. Asked me to send them a copy of my review/Google name and receipt. So I obliged. Then I was asked to send my panera account number or phone number so they could credit my account. So I obliged again and sent my information and then it went silent. No response back, no credit for terrible service/food just crickets! Really Panera, really? Just going to leave me hanging like that. Like I said before if I could give it less than a star I would. I will never go to another panera again and I will make sure my friends and family know how my total overall experience went with you and your establishment.
If I could give it less than a star I would. 2nd worse experience by far, you would have thought I would have learned the first time. Lets start with the employees, the ones that never greeted me, let alone placed my food on the shelf for pick up like they were supposed to. I received nothing but stares, no hi, no hello, no can I help you. The pick up shelf was empty, so I sat to wait. I began to hear the conversation being had in the background. Were they even working, I thought? I saw the phone chargers plugged into the wall moving as if someone was plugged in and on their phones. They were laughing and having a good time back there. Then a young girl walked out and past me with just a stare she walked over to the counter she was just behind and asked for her phone that was now ringing as she flipped her long braid. She took the facetime call and walked away. Still wondering where my food was, as I just received a message stating sorry your order is running behind, really? This has to be a joke! I walked down to the pick up counter and kindly asked is my order ready, gave my name and explained I had been waiting down by the pick up shelf. This young man too was on his phone, he quickly placed it down spun around and grabbed the bag that had been ready to go but not placed on the pick up shelf. He handed it to me and never said a word to me. Really? And then there is the food. The $13 chicken stir fry with a portion for a child i received. It didn't look nothing like the photo and tasted awful the chicken was all fatty and disgusting. I just felt sick trying not to waste it. I will never waste my time or money on this establishment again! I should have learned my lesson from the first bad experience but you best believe I...
Read moreThe food was fine, about expected for Panera. I am mainly writing this review for people who are trying to get a quick breakfast before work or picking up lunch during the work day, to caution you that this location is pretty slow. I have ordered a couple of times now and don't think I'll be back to the Roseville Panera.
They seem to be frequently out of key ingredients. When I made a breakfast order, they didn't have any eggs (so basically couldn't get any breakfast sandwich). When I wanted to order a salad for lunch, they were out of the green goddess dressing (that's my go-to Panera salad).
Had issues with service being slow when I ordered lunch for pickup while at work. I arrived right when the app said my food should have been ready, and then I waited for a full 20 more minutes at the pickup counter. I definitely feel for the workers who were there that day, because there were several customers who were quite rude to them when it seemed like the employees were doing their best with a short staff and too many orders. However, I do think there needs to be some process improvements with organization behind the counter, because the app told me my order was ready, and I could see a bag behind the counter, but they didn't realize it was my order until about 5 minutes later when another customer and I were able to get their attention and asked whose order was sitting behind the counter. Not sure why they wouldn't immediately put the bag on the pickup area as soon as it's ready? I noticed another review where a customer had the same experience, so it seems to be somewhat of a pattern.
TL;DR: The food is fine. Service is slow and this location seems to be frequently out of some ingredients. Would not recommend if you are trying to get a quick lunch while at work, or are otherwise on a...

To elaborate, I have ordered food from this particular location occasionally when I am pressed for time. The convenience of having it ready for pick up and paid for is nice, at least when they actually get the order right. Today marks the 4th time within a year that I had to peddle back to go and get the correct order. On previous endeavors, I was helped by a manager and was even recouped with a bakery item or coffee. I tried calling prior to my return, only to be given busy signals after calling. Press "5" for a manger... ringing then busy. Call again, press "4" to place an order... again, rings than busy signal. Seeing that I was getting no place fast, I headed over. I imagined they were really busy. Upon arriving, it was quite the opposite. It was deader than a picked over closing K-Mart. I approach the counter to tell the employee my plight, only to be met with hostility, as the employees working there didn't think I only received JUST half a sandwich when I ordered a full one, even with my receipt at hand that said otherwise. Trust me, I wouldn't have driven all the way back through the rain and thunder and get almost hit by some moron backing out of his/her parking spot in the cramped and congested poor excuse for a parking lot.
They made the other half and gave me the chips. I didn't get to speak with a manager, and I wasn't given any apologies.
So, with this being said, to the big wigs at Panera, you're Roseville location has caused you to lose a...
