Stumbled upon Pedal Car Pizza & Gelato, a new gem in downtown Roseville, thanks to Google—and we’re so glad we gave it a try! As of August 8, 2025, they’ve only been open for two weeks, but they’re already serving up some seriously impressive artisan pizza. From the handmade dough to the traditional wood-fired oven and creative seasonal toppings, everything reflects quality and care. The crust was fresh and flavorful—crisp on the outside, tender inside—and the ingredients tasted vibrant and thoughtfully paired. And don’t skip dessert! They also serve excellent gelato. I tried the Olallieberry cheesecake flavor with bits of graham cracker mixed in—it was outstanding. Rich, tangy, perfectly creamy, and the graham cracker added just the right touch of crunch and nostalgia. I’ll definitely be back for more. It’s a family-owned business, and we even got to meet the owner—friendly, passionate, and clearly proud of what he’s building. Maybe you’ll get to meet him too. Pro tip: Get there early on the weekends. Seating is limited, and tables fill up fast—especially once word gets out about how good this place is. If you appreciate pizza that’s crafted with intention and flavor (and a sweet treat to finish), Pedal Car Pizza & Gelato is absolutely worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back

The pizza was too good! We got the “All Meat” and “Smokey Mushroom” pizza. We were really surprised by how good the Smokey Mushroom tasted; the mushrooms tasted so organic. The gelato was also shockingly delicious. Jaw-dropping. They get their gelato from a dairy farm in Sonoma (one of the staff was stating). It really did taste super natural and “homemade.” (Only downside is that they closed at 8pm when we went (Tuesday)…) Absolutely recommend this place!!

The pizza was good, same as the appetizers, the owner of the place is always present and he puts in effort and hard work to please every customer which is very sweet. Come try them out, good selection of beer, plenty choices of pizza and some very good appetizers.

GREAT PIZZA! GREAT ATMOSPHERE! GREAT PEOPLE! GET HERE ASAP!

Don‘t say you love pizza if you order from the chain restaurants. Don’t claim you know what good pizza is if want mountains of greasy cheese and a “side of ranch.” Just walk away if you don’t eat your crust… ya don’t know pizza!

But the folks at Pedal Car? These people know pizza and they do it right! The freshest ingredients, the ratio of toppings, the tang of the sauce and the mastered craft of a crust; they get it!

Chef Ben has spent years mastering his craft and it shows with every pie he launches into that massive fired oven. Anyone can throw haphazardly chopped toppings on a cheese bread and yell Pizza! But Chef Ben elevates the game by paying homage to the process of developing his perfectly crisp yet chewy dough as it has been done in Naples for centuries. Cold proofed, oven blistered and salted to perfection, THE MAGIC IS THE CRUST!

Recommendations: Smokey Mushroom Pie, Veggie Pie.

They also do awesome gelato.

We will be back very soon to sample every pie on the menu!
