On November 15, 2021, I ordered four large sandwiches, 2 cups of soup, and a full Mediterranean salad. There were only 2 people working; the Owner and one sandwich maker and there was no one else in the shop. The entire order was not made according to Togo’s specification and standards. I am very familiar with Togo’s specifications and standards because I owned a Togo’s for 8 years before I retired.
The owner took the order and made a couple of the cold sandwiches. When he sliced the bread, the bread was cut so poorly the bottom was so thin it fell apart when trying to eat the sandwich. This may not seem like a major issue and in most cases it would not be, but when these kinds of things are done by the Owner, it is indicative of his lack of concern for the quality of products he delivers to his customers.
The sandwich maker prepared 2 cups of soup. When doing so, she filled both cups only about 2/3 full. Both cups were identical in the amount they held which is indicative that this was not an accident. Since there was more soup left in the quarter-pan, the low amount served in the cup was absolutely intentional. When the same sandwich maker was preparing 2 large #9 Pastrami sandwiches, she had to cook the Pastrami. When she took the Pastrami out of the microwave, she is required to measure the temperature of the cooked Pastrami to insure it is completely cooked and safe to eat. She did not do so and I saw that this was observed by the Owner. This creates a serious health hazard to anyone that could be served under-cooked meat. This is a violation that could give the Health Department cause to shut down the restaurant. This is not the first time I have observed cooked meat not being temperature checked in this restaurant. Therefore, it is not an isolated incident; it is a systematic management and employee training problem. This Togo’s is the only one on the east side of Roseville, but in the future anytime I want Togo’s I will drive twice as far and go to the one on Foothills & Junction. This shop is properly and...
Read moreI placed an online order that did not get processed, but charged my account. I went to pick it up 90 minutes after the verified pickup time when it was still processing. The first employee checked my order and began making it, but was stopped by her supervisor. He looked at my order on my phone, and immediately said, "it's still processing, what does that mean to you? We didn't get the order, it isn't paid for..." when he focused on it not being paid for I showed him that it had been charged to my card and was out of my account. He continued to argue with me and say he couldn't do anything, his only solution was to charge me a second time. When he said his boss had to handle it and I agreed to talk to him, he wrote down my name, set it aside, and when I asked if he had my phone number he sighed heavily, saying "I'm so done with you." This entire exchange took 20 minutes, I'm still charged, 2 hours late eating my lunch, and have...
Read moreGreat food and friendly staff however the dining room is usually a mess and the employees don't seem to mind. I have visited this location with my family maybe twice a week in the past few months and the floors and tables are always dirty when we visit. I usually arrive in the late afternoon and the store is not busy. Employees are usually standing around behind the counter either on their phones are talking to each other. They don't bother to clean even though they see the mess. I understand that customers should be neater and clean up after themselves, but you can't leave the store a mess when they don't. Especially when business is slow and you don't have...
