Today I just was diagnosed with strain A influenza at the medexpress next door to this Panera on McKnight, and I couldn't remember what food I even had at home, but I really wanted Panera, so I parked outside, and called, and a really nice guy (maybe his name was Kevin? My flu brain has no idea) answered the phone and suffered through my explanation of why I wasn't coming in and let me just tell him what I wanted and pay for it then and he told me he'd be waiting for me by the first registers near the door in five minutes with my order. So five minutes later I creeped in, face mask and all and he was ready and handed me my food and was really nice and said he hoped I felt better soon. There are a lot of brusque customer service people in the Pittsburgh area who would have made me feel weird and gross for my request, but he was really gracious and understanding that I needed food but didn't want to stand in their restaurant, shedding my virus! A+ to Kevin or whatever...
Read moreI like panera. I go there prob once a week. However, this particular store has been consistently dissappinting me. I'm in the area for work and seriously don't like their service (they are much slower than other panera locations) and their food is lacking. See the pic. I ordered the Napa chicken sandwich. When I got home this is what it looked liked. I only unwrapped it. It looks like someone tore it in half by digging their thumbs into it and ripping it. It wasn't cut in half. I didn't eat it. I would hope they wore gloves when making food, but the thought of them not preparing it properly leads me to ask what other things they do (like no gloves, or whatever). This isnt the first time. So I'm sad to say I won't be eating here for a while until they get their...
Read moreI had a bad experience with the guy with the ponytail also, like the other guy who left a review. He called me an as**e for not understanding his bad communication skills. A bunch of Italians own a lot of businesses in that area. Watch where you go into. They sneakily put 300 on the side of the sandwich on the price board hanging behind them. It looks like it was going to be $3.00. It's good that I double inquired. It's $6.75 for a grilled cheese mac and cheeses sandwich. Mac and cheese is as cheap as Ramen to make. What was the 300? The calories. If you don't have the eyesight of an eagle, the sign above and behind them looks like its going to cost $3.00. Pretty sneaky. And they price was for half a sandwich I was later told. Nothing in the pricing board about...
