Bassett Furniture - Wrong cushions delivered for my new sectional and broken leg on the sectional At the beginning of 2022 I ordered a sectional couch for my home which as I understand was delayed due to supply chair issues. It took 5 months to receive my furniture, when it arrived the sectional leg was broken, and three of the cushions were not what I ordered. I immediately notified the customer service of Bassett - that is a nightmare which is worse than the air line problems. It is now December 2022 and while the leg was repaired I still do not have the correct cushions for the sectional. A new set was delivered to a warehouse in a abandoned part of Ambridge,PA and I had to pick them up as the store on McKnight road says that they no longer receive parts etc. They were the wrong cushions - saga continues. I have been in the store face to face, on the phone to their customer service people who are hopeless except for Philip ... and tried again to receive help. I am always told there is nothing we can do; we will check with the factory, we will check with the warehouse. When you ask what factory, what warehouse you receive no response. I have tried contacting Corporate Headquarters but that is a endless loop of nothing. I really do not know what else to do except file a complaint with the Better Business or a small claims court filing and hit social media as much as possible. Today I was told that the customer service have noway of knowing if my order (which is their mistake) has been processed at all. It seems that the whole company is under new executive leadership and has gone through a shift in belief! They have left their employees without resources to aid the customers! * leadershp is not their forte! If anyone has any ideas let me know. Thanks - RIGHT NOW I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO NOT BUY...
Read moreMy wife and I ordered $15k+ in furniture in the fall. Our in-store experience was pleasant enough and the sales associates were helpful. After that, it all went downhill.
We had to wait a few months for delivery… not surprising given the supply chain issues. However, when our order finally came, it was missing a nightstand (with no explanation). Our delivery crew was also completely incompetent, didn’t speak a single word of English, and caused hundreds of dollars of damage to our stairwell - not to mention scrapes and nicks to three pieces of furniture. We also found out after delivery that almost none of the drawers on our furniture slide correctly, essentially making them useless.
Long story short, we were told our missing nightstand would be delivered ASAP (it took months), we would be compensated for the home damage (we haven’t been) and a repair technician would come to fix our drawers (they haven’t).
It has now been 5+ months since our original delivery, with no resolution. We have spoken to customer service more times than I can remember, and it’s always the same story, “I’ll speak to my team and get back to you.” It’s nothing but hot air. They have zero accountability, no real answers, and frankly, just don’t care.
I would never buy from Basset again. No quality control. No oversight over their shipping vendor. And no follow-up. Once they have your money, you mean nothing to them. How can a company damage your home, deliver faulty goods, and then just ghost you like you’re nothing? Well,...
Read moreZero stars. First off, we dropped 50 thousand dollars on one order. Not five, but FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS. You'd think our designer, as well as the store manager would help us with any issues...NOPE. We decided after the order we didn't want one of the large rugs that was recommended to us, which we didn't receive yet. We contacted our designer saying to take it off the order. Her response, "sorry, there's a 15 percent restocking fee" ON A RUG THAT WAS NEVER DELIVERED YET?!? Second, we obviously ordered a TON of stuff. So half of it was ready for delivery, we told them to deliver what's available. Their response was, "well if we deliver what's in now, when the other stuff comes in, you'll have to pay another $199 dollars to get the rest delivered." WHAT????? Most Furniture stores have free delivery, so we have to pay 200 bucks every time they deliver something from the ONE order we made????? Third. After paying 200 bucks twice to receive our furniture, we still are waiting on 3 more pieces that were supposed to be delivered. We paid another 200 bucks, were on the schedule for delivery, and the truck NEVER SHOWED UP. Waited ALL DAY. So we attempted to check on the delivery status, now there's no delivery scheduled, nobody has called us to apologize or reschedule, and nobody is returning our calls to see where our furniture is that we payed for 6 months ago. Save your money, go to another furniture store. This has been...
