Hate to leave just 1 star, but I really didnt have a good experience. It was 45° degrees outside and their heat wasn't working. My toes were numb by the time we left. We were the only customers there. I ordered the hot & sour soup which was ok, but the crispy wontons were SO stale & old! I told the server and 15 mins later she bought me more stale wontons. My husband ordered orange chicken, which came with no veggies. I ordered the sesame chicken that came with broccoli. The server dropped off our food, and we didnt see her again for 20+ minutes. We had to wave her down to get her attention (again, we were the only customers). My chicken was good, but the broccoli was ICE cold, the server told me that it is steamed, and comes cold (I thought steamed meant hot...). I told her I didnt want the soup, I like it with wontons, & theirs were horrible. And asked if I could get a discount on the entree since it was cold, and I couldn't eat it cold. She offered to warm it in the microwave, but we had already been left sitting in the cold restaurant for 20 mins without being checked on, and ready to leave. She took a whole $2 dollars off. One other customer came in for a pickup order, and they asked "when did they reopen"? So I'm assuming they've been closed for a while - and not quite ready to reopen. My husband and I sat in the parking lot debating on where to eat beforehand, but decided to give this place a try since we've never been. Unfortunately we regretted out decision, and will...
Read moreI want to preface this review by saying that I will pretty much eat anything from anywhere even if it's just okay. So me and my daughter went to Chopstix because I read all of the reviews and they were all so complimentary. We sat down and the apple juice they brought my daughter was actually bad or rotten and we asked for some sweet tea. About three sips into our sweet tea we both noticed that the sweet tea tasted really bad also. I tried to overlook it because sometimes sweet T varies and I get it. So the food came out and it was really Bland and I'm not sure what they cooked it on but it had a charred taste to it. The chicken was very chewy and not very good. I'm not writing this review just to complain, I'm just trying to save somebody $50. I'm more of a Japanese person. The two restaurants that are absolute home runs are new Lucky China and Asahi Japanese restaurant. I should have went there but I figured I would try a new place. The food at Chopstix was so bad that I didn't even get a to go plate and I'm a single dad. That should tell you all you need to know. Very...
Read moreDine-in. Ordered Thai basil and Lo-Mein. Both dishes were a major disappointment. They tasted like they were warmed up in the microwave. The Lo-Mein noodles were over-cooked and came apart when picked up with a fork. The amount of chicken was minimal, maybe an ounce, and it was completely covered with the noodles. Not a single vegetable was visible. The Thai basil dish was even worse. It consisted of a rather dry, huge pile of what they called 'fried rice' that contained some sprinkles of 'minced' veggies and a tiny amount of chicken pieces covered by the rice. No fresh veggies and not a trace of fresh Thai basil. It tasted so bad I returned it after taking a couple of bites. The dish was completely lacking the rich, savory flavors of a Thai basil dish. It was tasteless and bland. The food tasted like it was cooked a month ago and warmed up in the microwave. What a...
