The service was great and my food got out very quickly which is a plus, but this was THE greasiest Greek food I've ever had in my life. I got a half Greek salad thinking it would be a slighly bigger than a side salad but it looked like a side salad portion to me. It did come with pita and fresh feta tho. The vegetables were very fresh and happy but my salad was coated in oil. It came with an olive oil dressing [which I prefer anyways] but I didn't use it since the salad was already drenched in oil [I'm assuming it's Olive Oil]. I also ordered the Steak Pita wrap which was also soaking in grease. I was expecting it to be slightly bigger than it was, but it was still a good size considering the price. To me, the meat tasted like the frozen Steak'Ums you get in the frozen section of the store so I wasn't too thrilled about that being that all the other ingredients were pretty fresh. Anyways my only other issue is that the wrap was soooo greasy that it leaked through 2 pieces of the food wrap and through the paper bag. My box was soaked in oil. I eat in the car while I work so I had to clean my console, steering wheel and seats from all the extra oil. Some people rejoice in having that amount of oil but it was wayy too much for me and i feel like it defeated the purpose of me attempting to eat healthy. I may give this place another attempt and try out a different item on the menu, to see if I have a different experience but the...

UPDATE AS OF JUNE 4th- The business immediately reached out through this review as you can see below. Per their request, I sent them an email that same day so that they can make it right. THEY NEVER REPLEID TO THE EMAIL OR REACHED BACK OUT FOR A RESOLUTION. It appears they made the comment below to save face or make it look liked they cared but clearly they do not.

I have been a customer of this establishment for 25+ years. They always had excellent food, service, and value. I am so sorry I did not read some of these reviews before placing a catering order. I should of known because the interaction leading up to my event seemed a little off and was not the same people I usually did business with. It is definitely under new management! The quality has gone down hill, such a disappointment. I ordered a $50 tray of Greek fries that was supposed to serve over 20 people. I received roughly two bags of steak fries with some parsley on top. What a rip off! The falafel was dark brown and seemed to be overcooked. The tzatziki , which was always excellent, kind of tasted like ranch. I called to voice my concerns and no attempt was made to make it right. Actually, they blamed my husband for being late of why the food was ice cold. One would think they would keep a catering order warm until it...

While running errands in Roswell at lunch time, a Google Map search for an inexpensive Restaurant Near Me popped up this place with very high ratings. We gave it a try-- and the ratings were right!

An informal small business run by particularly friendly and helpful folks. At the ordering counter, they realized we were first-timers and walked us through the menus/lunch specials including large pictures of the dishes on the walls. I appreciated them not trying to up-sell or boost the order!

Well prepared and quite tasty gyro wrap just like I ordered it-- without lettuce; good-sized order of large, crisp fries; very good eggplant parmesan sandwich. All nicely seasoned and priced right. Ready in just a few minutes-- you go back up to the counter to claim your order.

Looked like lots of local, regular, repeat customers in the pleasant, bright, clean, airy dining room. All sorts of folks there- corporate/professional types, delivery guys, EMT crews, (three ambulances parked outside), upscale Alpharetta Shopping Ladies, a couple of cops. No line when we arrived but that changed shortly after we sat down. Brisk business and turnover.

Have definitely put this place in our...

Ah, Athens Greek Restaurant, you’re like the timeless myths of ancient Greece - enduring legends that captivate generation after generation, much like how this spot has woven itself into our family’s story! My kids grew up devouring your gyros, spaghetti dishes and Greek platters, and now as independent adults, we gathered here for a pre-movie feast before Superman at the nearby Aurora Cineplex. Pure magic: the vibe and flavors haven’t aged a day in 20-30+ years, channeling that mythical consistency Greece is famed for. What’s truly amazing is how the food quality stays rock-solid consistent, and the interior looks straight out of decades past - and that’s a genuine compliment, adding to the cozy, unchanged charm! I do miss the original family at the helm, but the service remains warm, and the kitchen staff’s quality stands strong. That steadfast menu - juicy gyros, vibrant hummus, flaky spanakopita, punchy falafel, thick Greek fries, zesty salads, and baklava that hits like a hero’s triumph - is humbly executed to perfection. In a sea of trendy eateries, this understated gem satisfies with the staying power of Olympus itself. Keep the saga going, Athens!

We recently came here for a quick lunch because we love Greek food and decided to give this place a try. It’s a quaint little restaurant on the end of a strip mall in Roswell. Nothing fancy, but quite homey inside. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the food came out incredibly fast! The gyro wrap was delicious. The meat tasted super fresh and I thought they gave a generous portion of meat. The tzatziki was good, I always get extra because I can never have enough on my gyro wrap. The salad was also good although it lacked a lot of dressing. I would’ve liked more dressing and more olives, but that’s just personal preference! We really enjoyed our lunch here. It was a good place to try for a quick lunch. I would recommend!

Clean place with good food and nice owners. I will openly admit that Greek is likely my least favorite food because I’m not a fan of hummus, black olives or feta cheese. My experience begins with Gyros and ends with baklava. 😂 My wife really wanted Greek food tonight and she wanted to try Athens. My gyro was very good and I really liked the baklava because it wasn’t too sweet. She really enjoyed her hummus and Greek salad. If you like Greek food and are in the Roswell area - you really should give this a try. Even I may get adventurous and try something else.
