Let me begin by saying so that this was one of my favorite restaurants in Roswell, NM. However, this most recent experience is among one of my worst experiences worldwide let alone nationwide.
I ordered Escargot š as an appetizer and not sure what happened this time compared to others, but it didnāt taste as good as normal, so that to top off with my service experience not so great.
I am sitting with a group of friends, 5 to be exact in a booth. So when I am returning from the restroom I wait for the waitress to finish taking additional drink orders and then she bumps right into me spilling salsa all over my shirt. NOT EVEN APOLOGETIC! So, you would think of any screw up on the restaurants part that they provide a discount and or comp something as simple as a drink, appetizer or dessert. Then when I asked and reminded her about her spilling salsa all over my shirt, she argued that I snuck up on her, while waiting 2-3 solid minutes for her to take drink orders. Besides, usually people LOOK before they walk. Do people just drive on the roads blindly without looking I said, she argues consistently. Youād think sheād have the courtesy of at least running it by a manager or something. But instead continued to argue defending her position saying I snuck up on her opposed to taking responsibility for her actions bumping into me spilling salsa all over my shirt.
So, Iām not sure if any management staff or the owner reads any of these reviews, but if I were them, Iād want them to know what kind of staff they have and are managing. Because unfortunately you literally permanently lost 5 customers like myself and others read these reviews and the word spreads further and further.
I was with friends and didnāt want to make a scene. If I were alone I certainly I wouldāve escalated to a manager. Because a waitress like that can cost them business. Especially when someone like myself that has as many as 820,667 viewers in the last 90 days. You might say something like this can be...

We sat at the bar. Bartender was super sweet and made good drinks. Lovely ambience, staff seemed professional, very adult atmosphere.
I ordered the porcini ribeye and the wife got the green chile filet. Look⦠maybe itās my own fault for going to a pasta place and not ordering pasta, but the food was awful. Low quality ingredients. The ribeye was very thin and not trimmed properly so every bite was white fat and gristle. There were no actual mushrooms on the steak although the menu said there should be. The mashed potatoes were fake, super processed out of a box. And they only give you a little ice cream scoop of them. The veggies were undercooked and under seasoned. And they were cold. Of our two plates the only thing that got eaten was the filet and it was mediocre.
I had a drink and the wife had two. We split a salad and each got a steak. The bill came out to a hundred dollars. I only ate a couple bites of the steak, a bite of mashed potatoes, and a couple pieces of the veggies. I left hungry. I had to come home and make dinner for us. When the bartender came to collect our plates and saw that most of the food was still on the plates, she asked if we didnāt enjoy our dinners. In a friendly way, I told her the food quality was not good and nothing on the plate was really edible. She was clearly embarrassed, but not surprised. There was no offer to get us something else and we didnāt ask. Will not return.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe recently went to dinner at the Pasta Cafe. The food was excellent. However, we had a very unfortunate experience with our bill. At the end of our dinning our bill arrived. Luckily my wife checked the totals over--I rarely do as I know most people do not. She noticed the bill belonged to someone else as it had completely different orders on it. We asked our waiter about this and he said "oh--that is my fault--I gave your bill to the people behind you a half-hour and they already paid it and this bill belongs to them." We asked for our bill to be re totaled and the waiter said he could not do that and that we would have to pay the bill that belonged to the people he accidentally switched bills with even though it was a higher amount. (This was the first red flag if I would have caught it because a half-hour ago our bill had not even been totaled as we had not even finished ordering.) From there I made a huge mistake because I was very tired and just paid the bill in cash and we left. After thinking the situation over later with a clearer head my son and I did some research and found that what happened to us is a very frequent scam by waiters, especially in a town like Roswell where many new people come and go a great deal--often travelers like us who are tired and not...
