The food at this restaurant was absolutely delicious, and most of the staff were kind and attentive. A special thanks to the owner’s brother, who stepped in and helped resolve some of our concerns. However, our experience with our server was disappointing and raised serious concerns about transparency and honesty.
We initially asked to order garlic naan ($5.50) as a side, and the server suggested we try “all of the naan.” When we asked how much it would cost, she told us not to worry; there would be, in her words, no charge. At the start of the meal, she asked how we wanted to split the checks, but when it came time to pay, she acted like dividing the bill was an inconvenience, so we paid on a single card.
The card reader was brought directly to our table without showing us an itemized receipt, and she asked, “Who’s tipping?” while holding out the device. She then stated that paper receipts weren’t available but could be emailed or texted. Fortunately, we checked the digital receipt before leaving and saw that we had been charged $25 for naan, despite being told it would be free, and that an 18% gratuity had already been added to our tab. Unaware of the automatic tip, we had also added an additional 20% on top.
When I approached the server about the charges, she claimed the manager was unavailable and said she could not offer a refund, but could give us a Diet Coke instead. She also denied offering the naan for free, even though all six of us heard her say it. After denying a refund for our 20% tip three times, she finally said she would contact someone. The owner’s brother came in and was able to talk with us. He clarified that the gratuity is automatically applied to larger parties, which we understood. The issue was that this was not communicated, the server explicitly asked for a tip without disclosing that one had already been added, and watched over his shoulder as he tipped 20%. She also denied to him that she had offered complimentary naan.
Although he explained that he could not issue a partial refund for the tip or give cash, he kindly reimbursed the extra tip via Zelle, which we appreciated. We did not receive a refund for the naan.
Overall, I would return to this restaurant because the food was excellent. However, I highly recommend asking for an itemized receipt before paying and be cautious about accepting any “on the house” offers from the server without confirming with...
Read moreLet me start by saying I’ve ordered from Rasoi numerous times but after tonight it will be some time if I come back. After spending almost $80, my order was missing two additional gravy’s that I paid for. I called the restaurant the guy on the phone could not find my order. It was almost if he was in disbelief that I ordered from here after giving every number on the receipt. I told him the drive took my husband some time to get home I wouldn’t be able to come back tonight. I offered to screenshot the receipt and send but he advised me to bring the receipt back next time and he would give me a free appetizer. I didn’t have anyway to redeem this future offer so while on the phone, my husband said I will take the receipt up there in which the guy said ok. Upon arriving, the guy behind the counter stated I was saying the next time you came back to bring the receipt and I would give you a free appetizer but if that was the case then how am I being accommodated for what I already paid for. Technically I would’ve paid for the free appetizer next time. Plus I said on the phone I was headed back. I proceeded to show him what was missing and he didn’t seem to know what Saag gravy was. The younger guy had to tell him what it was and yes I paid additional for that. The first guy was not willing to accommodate me for their mistake or make good on his offer for a free appetizer for my inconvenience. The customer service was very disappointing. My order was incomplete, I had to prove that I placed the order by bringing the receipt back only to wait for the gravy to be cooked and for the original offer made for my inconvenience to be ignored. I know this is a family business but the to go customers should be taken care of just as well as the people sitting inside. The young guy although quiet was at less humble enough to acknowledge a mistake was made and he knew the item missing from the order. I as the paying customer should’ve been accommodated for my inconvenience. A $80 meal at less 3 to 4 times a month is potentially gone due to poor customer service, no acknowledgment of the error made, and lack of making good on your good faith offer for the customer...
Read moreAs someone who appreciates the nuanced flavors of Indian cuisine, I can confidently say that Rasoi Fusion Indian Cuisine in Roswell, GA has set the bar high.
Upon entering Rasoi Fusion, you are greeted by an atmosphere that successfully merges traditional Indian aesthetics with modern design elements. The warmth and comfort of the interior set the stage for a memorable dining experience, matched only by the delightful staff who serve with knowledge and passion.
The crowning jewel of our lunch was, undoubtedly, the Chicken Curry. Each bite was a masterful symphony of complex flavors, highlighting the unique blend of spices in an impeccably balanced, rich gravy. The chicken was tender and succulent, indicating the chef's expert handling and care in preparation.
My wife opted for the Naan bread and Samosas, both of which were equally stellar. The Naan was soft, warm, and buttery - perfect for soaking up the flavorful curry. Meanwhile, the Samosas were a treat, with a delightfully crisp exterior giving way to a flavorful, perfectly spiced filling. They were an absolute triumph, and a testament to the expertise in the kitchen.
Rasoi Fusion takes the idea of a vegetarian-friendly establishment seriously too. The range of choices was substantial, and from what we sampled, the quality of these options was in no way secondary.
Although we didn't get to explore a dessert list during our lunch visit, the depth of flavors and satisfying portions left us more than content.
In conclusion, if you're in Roswell and have a penchant for authentic Indian cuisine, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not visiting Rasoi Fusion Indian Cuisine. This restaurant offers a dining experience that sets it apart from others, both in terms of the food and the overall atmosphere. Whether you're well-versed in Indian cuisine or looking to try it for the first time, this place is...
