Thai Emerald — Restaurant in Roswell

I love Thai food as probably my favorite cuisine overall. This one was just bad. For lunch take-out I ordered Crab Rangoon, Shrimp Tom Yum Soup and Thai Iced Tea. The Crab Rangoon was large thick triangles of fried dough with a VERY small dollop of, I guess, crab & cream cheese in each. It was so little I really didn't taste it. Super disappointing, especially paying $6.50 for some fried dough. The bowl of Soup did have the prerequisite 3 shrimp in it (not bad for $5.95), but it was not anywhere near as flavorful as the Tom Yum I've had at 2 other Thai restaurants here recently so I don't recommend that either. Probably the most disappointing was the Iced Tea though. I mean... how do you mess that up at a Thai spot?!?! I have had MANY Thai Iced Teas at MANY Thai restaurants across the country, and this one tasted the worst! I can't even place it, but it just wasn't right. I think it may have been the tea AND the cream being off. On top of that, there wasn't much in there, as my to-go cup was stuffed full of ice. I can't believe I paid $3.95 for that. I definitely won't be back. I haven't tried a lot of Thai restaurants here yet (past 1.5 years), as most of them are closed on Sunday (at least for lunch), when my family tends to eat out. However, I have been to 3 others and HIGHLY recommend Rice Thai Cuisine in downtown Roswell and did enjoy NaNa Thai Eatery in East Cobb and Thaicoon on the Square...

In a world where Inflation has ran crazy. It is nice to sometime go out to eat with Family and or Friends or Order Carryout. Now in this present day it is a privilege to do so. I couldn't believe the service at the Thai Emerald. I ordered Dinner for carryout and When I arrived the Woman at the door was so Unpleasant and rude. She asked my name handed me a Bag that had no Napkins or Eating utensils. When I asked the waitress for the items she snickered at me and said “we don't give any of that unless you ask.” Then she walked off from me. I never got to ask. I went to the nearest QT for eating utensils and Napkins. After I pumped Gas. I will never go to restaurant THAI EMERALD EVER AGAIN. ever again. There are so many other good Thai Restaurants in the area. Rudeness and Bad customer service will...

I understand running long ticket times because you haven’t been open for dine in and it’s Mother’s Day, but I placed my order to go by phone at 5:35pm and it’s now 6:49pm and still waiting. Don’t quote 40 minutes and then miss the mark by over 50%. I know you don’t want to turn away business today or say anything that might prevent someone from ordering, but this is poor form. I will, in the future, wait to add the tip until after I receive the food, not while placing the order

Finally have the order at 7 o’clock. I’m guessing at least some of it is it packed in his bag for 20 minutes while waiting for the rest of the food to finish. I just hope it’s as good as it normally is
