At first I wasn’t too interested in stopping to try this place out. However, my fiancée made a small comment about how this could be good. So now we are here with this review and as you can see, it’s good!

The food is amazing all around. I’m give or take with chips and salsa but the green salsa was impeccable. We went through two cups of it in our time.

The tortillas are homemade from my understanding. Usually you’ll get cut out mass produced corn tortillas everywhere you go but these definitely taste and look fresh. This is coming from experience and not facts so I could be wrong.

I had the Alambre plate which is meat and bell peppers covered in Oaxaca cheese with Mexican ride and refried beans. While not a hard dish to make, it was executed great here. Nothing felt out of place in the dish, everything was seasoned well, and portions are large.

Overall the meal felt very close to home and is worth the visit for residents or anyone passing by. Will be coming...

This is a restaurant that, unless you are specifically looking for it, otherwise, you'll pass it without even realizing. Today we decided to visit this restaurant for lunch and were really glad that we "discovered" it. Inside the restaurant is not big but the tables were arranged with good space in-between. The palace was busy when we arrived but we were able to find seating right the way. That being said, the place can get busy very quickly due to the limited seats. At first, I was a little concerned about the service as we had to wait for more than 5 minutes for someone to bring us the menu, but once we placed the order, the time that it took for food to come out was very short, which I thought was great. Most importantly, the food tasted fantastic; the Camelia plate that I ordered was so flavorful that it blew me away; chicken enchiladas and Tampiqueña plate were also fabulous. There's no doubt that we will be revisiting this restaurant in the...

I've been here a bunch of times for breakfast and tacos are always good (homemade tortillas too). However today my girlfriend order a tortilla soup and it was awful. The chicken looked dry and was clearly not stewed in a pot of soup. We asked the waitress if they make the chicken with the soup and she said they don't make a pot of soup they just add all the ingredients when someone orders it. We sent it back and changed it for some breakfast tacos. When we paid we got charged for the soup that we did not eat. Although I've been coming here for several years, the fact that they had the audacity to charge us for a soup that we went back, we will never come back. So if the restaurant owner cares, he/she will respond to this. Think about the future visits that will not happen because of this experience. And you can bet we will tell all our friends and family about this. So because of a soup this restaurant is gonna lose a bunch of future...

This place used to be one of mine and my wife's fav spots. Food for was slowly downgrading. At first I ignored it . Then started only going when the wife absolutely wanted to. Went today and got the worst excuse for carnitas ever. I called thinking it was a mistake and was told that's how they make em. When I said that carnitas are a cooking style not just a meat the lady answered well it's pork right. Waste of money and definitely lost my and wife's business and informing her family who also frequent the place.

If you want great food at a price way lower than Chuy's or La Mexicana, than you should try this place. A simple, clean, comfortable, family establishment with authentic Mexican food. If you like fruit cocktails (covtel de frutas) or fresas con crema and can't find them...they serve them here. Also menudo and caldo de res are on the menu. I love the Mexican coke! So, if you really want fast, fresh, authentic Mexican food then give this "dive" a chance.
