This is a beautiful paved trail, whether biking or walking. I do both multiple times weekly. It's about 10 feet wide, so plenty big for the whole family with wagons and all. You'll see beautiful wildlife with nice flowing water, plus it's not so crowded like downtown Austin, even on weekends. It connects to the brushy creek trail, which is equally beautiful. If you go that far, you'll find multiple community parks and spots to jump in on the trail along the way. I went 14 miles total yesterday but wimped out if you're looking for more distance. Read moreThis is where THE Round Rock of Round Rock is! I love that there is an actual round rock! The walking trail on the other side of the road has pleasant views, but might also be under construction because there is a lot of mulch still in bags. There were a few cans and bottles around the trail, in the river, etc. I wish this trail were cleaner, but I'm hoping with the construction that it gets cleaned up somehow. It didn't help that I found a dying fish in the river.

Read moreIt's in rough shape, but has great features for what it is. Many, many unfinished. And looks like abandoned projects. But what is there is nice. The walking trail is concrete and wide. It winds along from round Rock in both directions down the creek.
Round Rock was a landmark along the Chisholm trail where it was known you could cross Bushy creek. On the limestone within eye shot of Round Rock, you can see where wagons wore tracks.
