It was a beautiful day outside. I have been coming to this park since I was a toddler and now I bring my kids here every once and awhile. The place is decently constructed and some of the playscapes are newer as far as parks go but they probably could afford a little attention from the city as some of it looks a little worn down.

My kids and I had an adventure walking the trail along the creek and crossing the wooden bridge down to the Round Rock monument. Sightseeing was enjoyable and we spotted a few fish and egrets in the area. The environment seemed generally safe. There was some trash here and there but that was to be expected.

All in all, a great afternoon in the park with...

I feel conflicted with this review. Most of the time I love this park so much. We start by the kids playing on the playscape then take a beautiful nice walk to the round Rock and back. But the last two times I've been there with my kids, I didn't feel as comfortable having my kids there. Not that I didn't feel physically safe, just didn't feel like I wanted my kids witnessing certain events taking place by the playground. There was a certain odor from 2 men smoking something by the playscape. And several cars meeting for short periods of time before driving off. In my experience the weekend mornings are a better vibe then the...

The waterfall was full and flowing FAST.. We sat next to it and wet our hands & feet to cool off a bit after a warm walk.. It was nice. I got in the super clear water that i deemed clean enough..right behind the waterfall! I've swam in this same creek for half of my life, so maybe there's something to be said about Active Immunities ;D lol. Not ONE cut or scrape (i have many animals at home) got infected either! :O Wonder if there's medical runoff in the creek there.. All my any bites on my feet got better the next morning! :O wow! XD lol Had a wonderful relaxing Sunday after grabbing RR...

Awesome piece of history in Round Rock. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because as of March of 23, there is a lot of construction. It does look like it will be even nicer when they are done. I enjoyed being able to walk in and touch history. As part of the Chisholm Trail in the mid 1800s there were thousands of wagons and cattle that used the crossing. The wagons cut ruts in the soft stone that are still there today. You can even see them underwater. And the "round rock" was used as a water gauge to see how deep the river was. It's a must see if you like nature and history.

I enjoy walking the park with my dog and for exercise. Some times I carry a bag with me to pick up some bottles or small trash because the park is so beautiful. I just wish they (the city) would clean the night lights. They give that evening stroll that special feeling ! After a good rain the Brushy Creek is so clean and clear you can see the different types of fish and turtles there are. Not to mention the different types of flowers and shrubs there are.
