I was super excited to stay at this hotel since it was very close to the my work location. The rooms are clean and big.
I was super disappointed when upon checking in, I was told there'd be a $100 deposit, this is never listed in the online booking, and I was not prepared for it.
I paid the $100 deposit. It was midnight, I had already paid for the room and I needed to go ahead and go to sleep.
I was told that the money would be refunded to my card as soon as I checked out. As of Check Out the money was not taken out of my account. 2 days later, the money has been taken out of my account.
And now I'm calling to get my refund and nobody will answer the phone. This is ridiculous if I pay for it a hotel ahead of time. I should not have to pay an extra deposit. This is not vegas. This is not miami? This is just a two star hotel that i'm staying at for the night.
I would need my money back immediately. 3 days later no refund and no answer.
And no most low budget hotel do not ask for a deposit that is double the amount of the room. Even in Vegas your money is refunded the same day. It's been 3 days I still have no refund. I haven't been informed I have any charges, which it shouldn't have any. All I did was sleep, shower and watch TV.
You need better management practice. This is bad business
my extreme disappointment with how I have been treated by your staff during and after my recent stay at your hotel. To be clear: I did not smoke inside the hotel at any time. I do not smoke indoors and am always mindful of property rules. The claim that I did is completely false, and I find it both offensive and unacceptable. Your staff’s accusations are not only untrue but have resulted in an unfair withholding of my $100 deposit.I have made several attempts to reach your hotel all week to resolve this matter and have not received a single return call. I have attached my call logs to prove the multiple calls I made and to disprove your staff’s claim that someone attempted to call me on Sunday — that call never occurred. The lack of communication and dishonesty I’ve encountered is unacceptable and reflects poorly on your hotel’s service standards. When I reached out to Hilton Honors, they contacted your front desk, where an employee falsely claimed that an attempt was made to contact me. This, again, is false, as confirmed by my call records. I also want to note that Sam at the front desk was incredibly rude and dismissive when I tried to discuss this issue. I felt disrespected, unheard, and wrongly accused. To make matters worse, I was not informed of the deposit until check-in and was told it would be refunded the next day. That has not happened. The combination of poor communication, false accusations, and lack of accountability has been incredibly frustrating and deeply disappointing — especially from a Hilton property.I am demanding an immediate refund of my $100 deposit and a formal apology for the way I was treated. I am prepared to escalate this matter to my bank, corporate Hilton, and legal counsel if it is not resolved promptly. This experience has left a lasting negative impression, and unfortunately, it will be the last time I stay...

I was really excited to try out the new Spark by Hilton in Round Rock. With its promise of affordability and modern design, I had high hopes (four or five stars high!). While I did enjoy my stay, a few things kept it from reaching its full potential. I'm giving it a four-star rating for now, but with a few tweaks, it could easily earn a higher score.
The Good: Modern and Appealing: The hotel's exterior and lobby are sleek and inviting, exactly like the photos online.
Excellent Service: The staff was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout my stay. They promptly addressed my questions via text and fulfilled my requests, which is a big plus for me.
Clean and Comfortable Rooms: My room was spotless and well-maintained. I appreciated the modern design and the smart TV (although more on that later).
The Not-So-Good: Price Point: While Spark is marketed as a budget-friendly option within the Hilton family, I found it pricier than other Hilton properties I frequent in the Austin area, even with my employee discount. This was especially noticeable since I usually book hotels to avoid my long commute from work.
Room Quality: While clean and comfortable, the room felt a bit cheap. The paint job was sloppy, and the smart TV had connectivity issues that made it difficult to use. Also, the walls were thin, and I could hear quite a bit of noise from other rooms and the hallway, which made it hard to sleep during the day (I'm a night shift worker).
Value for Money: Given the issues with the room, I felt the price wasn't justified. Rooms of this quality are typically found in the $40-$50 range, not the $60-$70 I paid.
Overall: I had a pleasant stay at the Spark by Hilton Round Rock. The staff was fantastic, and the hotel itself is visually appealing. However, to truly live up to its "affordable" branding and earn a solid four or five-star rating, Spark needs to either lower its prices or improve the quality of the rooms. Recommendations for Improvement:
Address the TV issues: Ensure all smart TVs are functioning correctly and have a strong Wi-Fi connection.
Improve soundproofing: Invest in better insulation to minimize noise between rooms.
Review pricing: Consider adjusting the rates to better reflect the value offered.
I hope this feedback is helpful! I believe the Spark by Hilton Round Rock has great potential, and I look forward to seeing these improvements...
Read moreif you stay at Hilton for the customer service and accommodating staff this is NOT where you wanna be. i stay here on my final days of military orders and my unit was told we were going back to round rock, except we got held up. i already booked 2 nights and wasnt able to make it the first night. they explained that and they just could not accommodate me. as a diamond member i dont ask for much, but when they lady couldnt give me a credit or anything and continued to make a big deal, i was kinda thrown back since i was told one thing and others happened. the second is, every hotel ive ever stayed had hands me a military tax exception form when im on orders. they have NEVER heard of this or even carry them. military members are supposed to bring it to them? that doesn't make sense. i later return cause i forgot my bathroom bag, and i return with a signed tax exception form i got from another hotel (hilton garden inn down the road = alot better)..they again make a huge deal about it. i called hilton's customer service # and they tell me sure you can turn them in late. the "general manger" gets on the phone and again spouts the same nonsense and doesnt have an a clue what hes talking about....bottom line their are better options all around that area. the people running that hotel are the worst representation of hilton ive ever seen. hopefully people will stay elsewhere and that place will close down. i would expect these things to happen at other companies, but hilton has always been good with making quick changes and working with my situation, this place not so much. if your on military orders, go elsewhere, if go to round rock for any other reason, go elsewhere. this is not the place for...
