I’m deeply disappointed with how South University handled my academic situation. According to their own handbook, students placed on academic probation are supposed to be given two consecutive semesters to raise their GPA. However, I was only given one semester—despite the fact that I had to withdraw from the program due to documented personal and health-related reasons.
When I returned, I was immediately placed on probation without the opportunity to complete two semesters as outlined in their policy. Other students were given the full two semesters, but I was denied the same chance. This inconsistency and lack of fairness is not only discouraging, but it also reflects poorly on the integrity of the institution’s academic policies.
It feels like decisions are being made arbitrarily, and now certain faculty are attempting to correct mistakes they made in the past—but at the expense of students like me who have worked hard and followed protocol. I have tried to advocate for myself through emails and appeals, but I still have not been given a fair opportunity to continue my education.
I do not recommend South University if you are looking for consistent policies, fair treatment, or proper academic support—especially during...
Read moreI was genuinely shocked to read all the negative reviews about this school because I absolutely love it here. When I first started, I struggled with properly citing my work. A staff member took the time to sit down with me and explain how to do it correctly. Whenever I needed a break, someone was there to help me navigate the paperwork to request it. The professors provide multiple opportunities to reach out if you have any issues. The security officer is very friendly. I encountered only one problem during the year and a half I spent here, and the Dean addressed it promptly. I truly appreciate South University and its close-knit community, and I will continue my...

You never get your aid when you're supposed to, and when you inquire within the department about it, all you get is the run around... you should have it by this day... well it's should be this day actually... well it's out of our hands now... blah blah blah... every quarter. And every quarter they get a new "system" which gives them excuses for not having answers about your funds... it's a joke dealing with the staff of...
