Visiting from out of town for a tournament, we came in to have lunch with friends. They had already arrived and were seated when we came in. We have a service dog and she was with us. We put her in a dog stroller so that she doesn't "bother" anyone when in restaurants (and she was in it on this day). Upon entering the Manager/Owner came over, told us we had to leave as our dog was not allowed. We attempted to tell him she was a service animal (she had on her vest & tags) however I guess he wasn't listening and told us he would just refuse us service. We told him, "you don't want to do that she is a service animal". He then mumbled something about seeing proof...but walked off before I was given the chance to show him... It went down hill from there. I feel we were all treated poorly because Management was mad about the dog. We had to beg to be given menus, waitress only took half our drink orders (until we said something). She really acted as though we where a bother to her. Very unattentative, forcing us to constantly look for/ask for her to get anything (refills, sides, etc). We contstantly had to ask the other Manager/Owner to get her for us. She even missed taking an order from one of us. Almost like it was on purpose. The food was very basic, really lacked flavor. In the end we all got sick from it as well. Guess maybe we should have taken the Manager/Owner up on his offer to deny us service. We won't be back. I hope the staff, owners/management learn about ADA animals as well.
SEE OWNERS RESPONSE BELOW. I'm not mad, however he/she is proving how rude they are. It's not my fault your food made us all sick and you all behaved the way you did. There are other reviews with some of the same information as mine, so clearly I am not alone here. As I stated my friends were seated (by your staff) when we walked in the door. I have no idea what went on before we came in. I did watch menu's being passed out to all your other tables without customers having to ask. I also witnessed other tables having the same troubles as we did. All your staff seemed very unhappy. My ADA REGISTERED SERVICE ANIMAL is ALWAYS clearly marked. She never made a sound. Nor did she pee/poop on your property. I'm sorry if someone else's animal(s) have done so. There is/are major differences between someones pet and a service animal. I think as a business owner and manager you need to better educate yourself and your staff. That way you can better communicate with customers who come in with ADA animals. Also may help you in being nicer to paying customers in general....
Read moreHorrible service. If you decide to try it out please drive the extra 20min or so to their other location in round rock. Me and my mother in law were excited to try this one since we always went to the other location and expected the same kind of service and hospitality but we were so wrong. From the beginning it was horrible. We weren't sure if we had to wait to be seated or just seat outself since no one was at the front checking anyone in. We proceeded to sit down at a booth and that's when our server came and looked at us. I asked for menus since there weren't any around and the guy looked at me confused and said no we don't give menus you have to Scan the QR but as I turn to my right there were 3 Hispanic men walking to their tables and their waitress handed them menus. So I asked the same waitress if we could have the same menus and she looked confused. So the 3 gentlemen were sweet enough to give us 2 of their menus. Our waiter finally show up but had no silverware and we order our food. Food arrived and we still had no silverware. Half way through our meal my mother in law found a short grey hair. My mother in law has white(silver) long hair. But I still asked her if it was hers and she said no. So she called the waiter and some guy who must of been the manager came and said "no one in our kitchen staff has grey hair" however he was wearing a shirt with his grey hair showing through. But I explain to him we didn't want a discount or free meal just wanted to pay for our food and leave. Throughout this I kept hearing all the Hispanic employees speak in Spanish about us. Mind you I'm mexican and understand Spanish and speak it. I didn't bring this up since I didn't care. But once we started to walk out the door an older Hispanic lady sitting and walking with 2 younger females said "they are leaving" but in Spanish. And continue to say other stuff which I won't say here. Very derogotory things. I turned around and said "you know I understand Spanish" once I said that they all looked at me with a dear in head lights look. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life with my own rasa (people). I even look and have a mexcian accent so to have this kind of thing happen to me is unbelievable. Oh and by the way the food was horrible. Dry chicken, no flavore, didn't even get salsa on my sopes. For the first time mexican food was bland. I'll go back to the other round rock location. It's worth the...
Read moreWe’ve been going to this location for quite some time and have ALWAYS loved it and have ALWAYS continually raved to others about it. We’ve brought in multiple people with us from other areas and other states as well. The very first time we went, food was bland but I’m all about giving places second chances and am thankful for that because the second time we went back it was amazing. They’ve even had subpar service (waiter/waitresses) before but we continued to go because we loved the atmosphere and most of the staff and the food. (The Stuffed Pechuga is to die for, as are many other dishes they offer). The establishment really grew on us.
Fast forward to today. It’s Mother’s Day. My mother is here from out of town. We decide to take her to my favorite place I’ve raved about for a while now! We had a large party (8). We get seated quickly. It took over 15 minutes to get a waiter to come to us for drink orders. No biggy- it’s Mother’s Day. Finally get drinks and finally put our order in. Meanwhile we go through 8 baskets of chips (I have hungry teen boys). We get refills a couple times on drinks. Another larger party than ours comes in and sits behind us. They immediately got service. An hour and 15 minutes after we sat we still have no food and barely any service and the larger party that came in after us got their food promptly. A guy from management (I’m assuming) came to our table and offered us a dessert on the house and assured us that our food was coming. Overall, however, the attitude coming across was like he really didn’t care. But it was nice to offer free dessert. We said no thanks but to just please get the food out asap. After waiting another several minutes we just decided we were no longer hungry. (We had plenty to drink and chips galore). So we asked for our bill for drinks and chips/salsa. They comped the drinks and chips and we left. On our way out the door the same guy that offered dessert offered a gift card to come back. We declined. At this point I highly doubt we will be back. The declining service and lack of empathy or give a crud is a turn off. I feel embarrassed for even recommending this place to my mother today. Disappointed for sure. We will miss their food, but not...
