I am so angry right now, after visiting this Smoothie King at 455 University Blvd. Suite 300 in Round Rock, TX. Brayden (employee's name shows on reciept) was helping me. I have never been to a Smoothie King before and didn't know in advance that the price of a smoothie would be more than $5 each. I am struggling financially but had already promised my wife and 3 kids smoothies today. I asked Brayden if there were any coupons available online. He said "maybe". I looked it up but then caught the marketing in store. The messaging stated that if I download the app, I can receive a free smoothie. I told Brayden that I was in the process of downloading for the free smoothie. As part of that process, I saved my debit card information on the app. I then asked him how to find the coupon on the app. He told me that he can scan the barcode on the app. I let him. I asked if that showed him my available coupon and simultaneously found the coupon section of the app. There I had to hit a little button to activate the free smoothie. He then handed me my reciept and I told him I was ready to pay. He then looked at me confused. Apparently when he scanned my app, he recieved paymeny automatically. He decieved me into thinking that he was helping me find the coupon by scanning when in actuality he was charging me, prior to clicking activate on my free smoothie coupon. I asked him to reverse the charge and charge me after the coupon was applied. He said "there's nothing I can do". I am so livid. He knew what I was doing standing there for 10 minutes before finalizing my order and payment. He just dipped into my kid's Christmas. Yes, $6 would have helped me tremendously. I couldn't afford the smoothies I came in for, to begin with. And, now I'm late to deliver them to my kids... because I'm angry and writing this review. If I'm going to be served by young adults and teenagers, I expect them to know how to reverse a transaction and ensure that their customers don't leave angered, minimally. I will never...
Read moreI have arrived here because my review was too long for the app;
My girlfriend and I come in once a week to treat ourselves, the manager is always nice and friendly however today there were 2 younger employees who were thoroughly despising their day. There was a group of 4 people that came in before us and were still deciding on their order, my girlfriend asked the employees if they liked the new pineapple kale smoothie, they both looked at each other and rolled their eyes and after an awkward 5 seconds said “it’s good” with no shortage of sass. The group before us let us order because they were still deciding and while I ordered there was never a please, thank you or even a joyful tone throughout the encounter while the only response we got was a demand, “name?”. While we waited for our smoothies to be made, they both ignored the other 4 people who by this time had either decided on their order or had questions. Once our smoothies were made the male employee with painted nails (would have used a name for reference but neither had name tags) set them on the counter then walked away. I walked up to the counter and pointed at them and he said “they’re done” no use of the name they demanded earlier. Now we had to play the ol’ game of guess the smoothie since our orders were similar.
I have worked customer service all my life, this review is meant for the manager to use during coaching so they are aware of how their team acts unsupervised, hopefully those who came in today were not first timers because it would be hard for me to come back to that location if I didn’t already know how good it can be with the right...
Read moreThis is the first review I have ever done:
I have been going to Smoothie King for years; I worked at another location for 2 years in the past. After spending roughly $10 on my gladiator smoothie that was made with too much water and too much ice there was ALOT of smoothie left over in the blender. I asked the associate, Garrett, if I could have the rest of my smoothie (Keep in mind the reason these smoothies are more expensive is because of the Gladiator Protein I am paying for). He replied " and put it where?" I than simply asked him to put it in a small cup. He rudely said "why?" I then explained to him that I paid for all the protein and I would like to keep it all. His response was "cups aren't free they cost $0.15". Like I said before I worked at smoothie for 2 years and we always gave the rest that was left in the blender. I also go to Smoothie Kings all over the Austin area and have NEVER had some one tell me that. After paying the $0.15 he poured it in the small cup which filled it 3/4 of the way. That clearly shows he did not make the smoothie right in the first place. When I asked for his name and managers name he stopped what he was doing and looked at me and said " why? Do you have a problem with me?" I then took my smoothie and left, this kid was so rude and hot headed. According to Garrett, Val is the manager and I will be trying to reach out to her as well, because I am extremely unhappy with a company that I love to go to very often. I will also be filling out other...
