Grain and Berry - Rowlett — Restaurant in Rowlett

I moved recently to the area & I’ve been searching for a store with good acai bowls options for a while to no avail. I was very excited when I saw this store was going to open & I went to try it on the day it opened & another time couple of days ago & they did not disappoint! I’ll be coming back to this store again & I hope they keep their high standards.

For feedback: I love that I can choose the granola amount, and the bowl is not overly sweet, just right amount of sweetness. And above all, their ingredients and fruits are very fresh!

I would love for them to increase fruits portions. I ordered a custom bowl: banana amount was good (they sliced an entire banana per bowl) but diced strawberry amount was not sufficient (maybe half of a strawberry?) same goes for mango. I don’t mind paying extra to get what I want BUT for the price I should be getting more fruits (for instance, the price is very comparable to California or New York but the amount served is much less).

Also, minor thing: I would prefer to have the option to get the bowl in a to go cup, this way its easier to...

Ordered the Meat Your Heart Out and Just Peachy shake. Everything tasted wonderful. The owner and other employee attitude is great. My only critique is the company in general should add a shake that has vegetables and fruit (although you can ask for kale and cucumber to be added). They should have a pre-made smoothie with vegetables option and maybe name it VeggieTales or something to highlight that it contains vegetables along with the fruit. Me and my mom usually make our own breakfast shakes with fruits and vegetables so I would like a quick vegetable smoothie option. But this is exactly the type of healthy smoothie shop I would start. I just suggest you have vegetables in small bins to add along thr assembly line and add a vegetable/fruit drink to your options instead of thinking customers will automatically know to add them....

We tried this place for the first time today and they messed up our entire order. The açaí bowl was great despite it being the wrong one! However, the smoothie I would not get again. It tasted very watered down and lacked any flavor whatsoever. As for the juice, it was fine but they also did not add most of the ingredients that they were supposed to in that either. We were also not greeted when we walked in which isn’t a huge deal to me, but it’s great to have excellent customer service whenever you’re just starting out if you want to build a customer base.
