I went in to the store today and there was only one employee and a customer. Before I could even sit down to wait he asked me what he could help me with while still helping the other customer. I bring this up because just Sunday at another location I was in the same scenario but I was not approached until the employee was done with the customer. This is not a complaint to the other location because I still got helped but just pointing out the little things that makes a big difference on customer service.
That was just the start of my great experience with this store and GM Alex, I had an issue with my phone not getting service and he tried to do several things to see if he could fix my phone. After he diagnosed it he told me that more than likely it was my phone and that I probably needed a new one. He then check my account and suggested to do a insurance claim and where he went above and beyond was when he actually called the insurance company on his personal phone and let me borrow his phone to do the whole claim because again I was not getting reception on my phone. He did not have to do all that but you can tell when someone is in a position because they are passionate about what they do and really take pride on their work. We were lied to about a promotion (told we were getting new tablets completely free that we are actually now paying over $30 per month for over a 3-year period. $1,080+ total). We were also lied to about the ability to trade in our old cellphones for credit towards our new phones, and now Verizon is telling me it is too late (approximately $1,600 worth of credits missed out on).
With those two lies combined, shopping at this location will wind up costing me an extra $2,680+.
EDIT: I feel the need to provide an update to this since the owner replied to my review, and I don't want anybody incorrectly assuming that they did anything to make things right. I emailed them as they requested, and shared the full story of my experience. They told me they were forwarding it to the district manager, and they would follow up with me. They never followed up. I emailed again 1.5 months later. They said they had "recently experienced a shift in management" and said they would get back to me. That was over 2 weeks ago. Not only will they lie to you and cause you to be on the hook for thousands of extra dollars, they will then tell you they want to make things right and then ghost you. Well I ended up having to buy a new phone. So first of all when he went to ring me up he went to get a screen protector and a case and charged it then told me what my total was. I had to tell him no I didn't ask for that nor did he say anything before just ringing it up. So he took it off after I said no I don't want it. So about three days later a get a notification from Verizon about my bill.
