Apparently the servers in Royal Oak, MI Have not had diversity training (E & R). My granddaughter and I entered the store, saw the clerk at the fruit area, and waited to be acknowledged for a few minutes; no one was being served at the time. The server glared at us but did not say âHello, May I help youâ or anything. I only stayed because my grandchild wanted to try the bowls. It was very awkward. A young guy came from the back and looked at us. Still weâre standing there with nothing being said. Eventually he asked if we knew what we wanted. I replied, yes, and told him. ThenâŠ.the original female approached us began to complete the transaction. I asked if it was customary to greet the customers? She said, I said â helloâ. No you didnât. If so, I wouldnât have asked. She kept glaring at my granddaughter and myself. She completed the transaction. As we left, my granddaughter asked if we were treated that way because of our skin color? I told her âyesâ. Welcome to her first experience of racism. We both were very disturbed. A simple greeting of âHello, welcome, may I help youâŠ..â Simple customer service, 101 would have avoided this review. Money is greenâŠ.in ALL hands.
Your âteam memberâ did not greet us. She looked as though she wondered why were there. A simple, âhello, Iâll be right with you, peruse our menu or welcomeâ would have alleviated this review. My granddaughter got a lesson in how not to conduct business. It wonât...

As per request from owner:
Only given about 1/4 teaspoon of almond slices. Toppings skimpy. "Coconut crumbles" misleading on menu. It was basically just small chunks of solidified coconut fat. A crumble implies more of a gluten-free version of a crumble or crisp topping, as in an "apple crumble" or "crisp".
I previously worked at a bar that served vegan soft serve that offered such. Had it been labelled as "coconut fat", which is what it was, I would not have selected such as a topping.
Ice cream quality mediocre, which would have been acceptable if the toppings were more generous, of higher quality, and labelled more accurately.
Have worked in many vegan kitchens. This particular format feels cheap by comparison(especially for the price point).
Sadly, a pint of vegan ice cream from Meijers is of higher quality and more affordable. A vegan ice cream shop is a great idea, but without mindful and palatable execution, it falls short. Whoever selects the ingredients has an...
Read moreWe tried two signature bowls, the Sunrise and Big Island. The Sunrise was by far our favorite! It came with blue majik, pitaya, granola, banana, strawberries, and honey. The Big Island was more complicated, but offered many different taste profiles if you're looking for a vast array of flavors. You have the choice of signature made bowls or customize from the ground up. They have three different size bowls: Dinghy (12 oz), Cruiser (16 oz), and Yacht (20 oz). Also, they have a limited amount of seating available inside and outside. It's more of a grab...
