I was treated very poorly by Oak City Grill. The waitress who I was told was names Sara. (She never introduced herself) never checked on a large group of 20 guests. They had to go to the bar area to order and some even stayed in that area due to lack of service. I had asked her to check on us often and had tried to order food. I asked if I could order steak bites and I was advised that the kitchen was closed. She offered me chips and salsa, I accepted for the table and asked if it was possible to have a cucumber and carrots and she said yes. A half an hour later multiple people asked where my food was. She came over to me and said the kitchen is closed order the Shawn. Shawn said there problems with staffing due to covid abs walked off. I was waving to him and had difficulty and pain speaking over the volume due to a medical condition. A man who identified himself as Owen asked me to leave. I was sworn and yelled at on the way out and he did nothing to maintain respect for me. I was yelled at and told I was hammered even though I was drinking a non alcoholic beverage. Upon being outside the waitress and the staff were laughing. She was waiting outside and I was harassed by the restaurant staff. When I asked why I needed to leave and was separated from my group he refused to give any further explanation. I left a vague review on yelp after having such a terrible, disrespectful experience, which I advised owen I would be doing. He threatened me. The staff harassed me when I called and left a voicemail asking to speak to the owner. I will not come back here as it is unsafe and they do not care about their customers. I added a photo of the staff laughing and trying...
Read moreWe were shown to our table to only recieve one menu between four people, and it was only the drinks. After we were given the menues and ordered our food bread rolls were placed on the table but there was no silverware. When we asked about getting silverware our server gave us a very blank stare and a smirk. When the food finally arrived and was placed at the table the server proceeded to ask us how everything was only to recieve a similar blank stare from us. However upon partaking it was actually quite good. We asked for our checks which felt like a long time for us to get, so i decided to look around for a clock. There was none to be found to my disdain. Five televisions, but no clock. Upon paying the bill and preparing to leave I turned to the waitress to say "take it easy" and she became very insulted. The entire experience was not terrible but with a staff of people who wont listen to you and get slighted at common niceties i would suggest to find another restaurant or bar to enjoy. There were no clocks to tell the time, and our interactions with the people who were there left much...
Read moreI'll say this the service which everyone seems to have an issue with isn't that bad. That being said its not that great all the time, weekdays i enjoy a good dinner at Oak City because its easy to carry on a conversation and the service is very awesome. However, on the weekend, the service leaves a ton to be desired. This was during the summer, we had a group of 10 that showed up around 6:30 it wasn't crazy busy yet but busy i'll give you. We cant get you a table for 3 hours...really guys? 3 hours? when i asked well there's several tables over there, the response i received was a party booked those tables in an hour so they are not open. Now i've never work at anywhere that even remotely does anything with seating or food but that made no sense to me. The saving grace of that night was the bar tender, who was very awesome and made sure he was extremely attentive to are group to the point where we stopped caring; 2 hours later we did get seated but it was a hassle when it didn't need to be. AGAIN NORMALLY the whole staff really awesome great Guys & Gals but might need some training...
