This evening I was excited to go to Olga's for date night in a different location then my regular Olgas. I am very unhappy all the way around with the Royal Oak location. I walk in, to someone at the register on her cell phone not acknowledging im standing right in front of her while she continues texting and laughing on her phone. I say excuse me, do we seat ourselves. She informs me I need to place my order there at the counter before I find my seat. I ask for a menu. She didnt know where one was, rolled her eyes, then tossed one to me across the counter. I place my order and ask why it costs more then my usual Olgas. She doesnt know & someone else steps in and finishes taking my credit card. On the credit card machine it asks for a tip. I state to the woman why do I give a tip before I get my food, I dont know how well the waitress will be. Id like to leave it at the end (she has no answer) so I leave the tip. She then hands me the receipt and sits us at a table. I realize she has charged me for 2 olgas instead of one, the reason I thought the final price was high is now realized. I take it to the counter she explains its my fault for asking for an Olga and make it larger. She charged me for one of each initially. Smh! So, I get that taken care of and my dates entire order came out 5 minutes before mine. When mine arrives, I ordered the snacker..the fries are extremely hard and ice cold and the chicken was wrongly seasoned. I take the plate to the counter and as im walking the girl smirks. I explain my fries are cold and im unhappy. I asked for a refund. I said my date has finished eating by this time, and I dont want to eat. She didnt give me a refund. Said she could offer me hot fries. I stated that doesnt justify bringing me cold fries when my date has already finished eating, my fries should have been fresh and hot from the start. She didnt give me a refund still. Brings the fries over finally and asks if there is anything she can do to make me enjoy my experience. I said no. You have already given me poor service from the time I walked in and now my food has arrived cold, not to mention, you just told me it was my fault for charging me for 2 of the same sandwiches when I ordered one. So no. I will never step foot in this restaurant location again as I had already explained I eat at Olgas in my local city a minimum of 2x a week. The Royal Oak location had the music blaring, hard to have a conversation, you place your order off a small black and white menu, tip before they even give you service and do not provide friendly, inviting, customer satisfaction. The food was ice cold. Horrible front staff...
Read moreAbout 2 weeks ago on Sunday evening I had very bad food & service here. 1st no receipt was even offered. This is a no table service location although they do bring your order to the table when ready.
When I ordered coffee it was brewed & the pot brought to the table where I had no cup or cream for them to serve me. Those were finally brought, then the pot was kept at the service bar rather than at my table even though I was the only one drinking it. There was no cream anywhere. When I wanted a refill I had to go to the back of the restaurant to find someone to get cream from the fridge. Did they think I'd be taking the 2nd cup black?
My original Olga sandwiches had a few shards of onions each not even a quarter of a slice, quite noticeable since I forgot to ask for no tomato which I removed. There was also maybe only a quarter teaspoon of sauce so the sandwich ended up being primarily meat on a pita. I also ordered a brownie desert expecting to get what was pictured in their online menu which was brownie with ice cream & chocolate sauce. They forgot this item so I tried to flag down the guy delivering the orders to other tables a number of times but after he dropped off the food he fixed his gaze every time to the back of the restaurant & didn't notice my calling to him & waving at him. On the way to deliver he only looked at the customers getting the food. After I was unsuccessful at getting his attention after trying 5 or 6 times I finally got up again & went to the back of the restaurant to flag someone down & tell them I didn't get my desert, no receipt to show that I had paid for it. Then I was brought a plain brownie in a bag. I wonder why it was so different than the picture on their website.
Now I need a box to bring the rest of my meat on a pita home so I go to the service station again & no boxes are there, so waited again for someone to show up so they could get me a box from the back.
Why even offer handicap parking at this location if I have to get up & walk to the back in search of someone numerous times? Now I'm in more pain & certainly wasn't able to relax & enjoy a decent meal here. And the manager was actually there & didn't seem to notice...
Read moreUpon entering Olga's Kitchen, everything seemed nice as usual. My daughter and I walked up to the counter, ordered our food, paid, got the cups for our drinks, found a table,..... all seemed nice as usual. My food came out to me one at a time. I ordered the veggie pita, snackers, and a drink. My food was absolutely delicious 😋. My daughters food came about 10 minutes late. The young lady who took our orders said she had to have them redo her zucchini fries. My daughter ordered the philly cheese steak pita, zucchini fries, and a drink. Her Philly cheese steak was ok. After eating some of her zucchini fties, she didn't want them anymore. When I tasted them, they were greasy. Some were breading with no zucchini. I didn't even want them. Now, while having our meal, my daughter and I were discussing our hospital visit we'd just left. Only one employee walked by during our discussion. When my daughter went up for a refill at the beverage station, she heard the employees laughing and talking about what we were discussing. That was very hurtful to my daughter. Not to mention very disrespectful. How do you ease drop on a customer's conversation, go tell your coworkers, and ALL make fun of the situation. Not only did they make fun of her, but they did it so she could hear them. She said she won't return there and feels they will close down. After that hurt and disrespect, I feel the same way. The many times I've been to this particular Olga's Kitchen, or any to be exact, I have never had such a disrespect happen to me or anyone accompanying me. Needless to say, we WILL NOT be returning. We'll take our money where we are appreciated and respected, and our conversations are kept...
