Finally got to try this place after I heard it opened on the 23rd.
First of all, I need to report a bit of deceptive advertising. When I first read in The Town Crier a year ago that this location would be built on the grounds that was once Applebeeâs, they mentioned in the article how the location would have indoor/outdoor seating. Not only is there no outdoor seating at this location, but thereâs no indoor seating either. Supposedly the franchise owner copied the MO of Checkers/Rallys and Miami Grill by being drive through only. According to the lady at the drive thru, itâs because the franchise owner thinks weâre still in 2020 and no one dines in at restaurants anymore. I donât work for them, but the Chick Fil A down the street where I often have a hard time finding a table during the lunch rush would highly disagree.
My next issue was the drive thru. When you go through a drive thru at a place, you expect to be told something like âWelcome to Raising Canes, may I take your order?â or something of the like. What I was instead greeted with was âWhatâs the pickup name?â. As it turns out, for the first two or three months this location is open, they are only accepting delivery orders through UberEats and GrubHub; they said DoorDash and Postmates will come at a later date. They expect regular customers to be able to order at the drive thru sometime around mid to late September or early October; unless the franchise owner decides to switch to this format permanently. Additionally, there is no curbside pickup/order ahead option; I can tell because thereâs no designated parking spots for curbside pickup and the app doesnât give me the option to order ahead; it just prompts me to download UberEats or GrubHub and it says Postmates and DoorDash are âcoming soonâ. I am not a fan of this format; call me old fashion but I prefer to order and pick up my own food instead of having someone do it for me. Then again, I wouldâve much preferred this location to have a dining room, but clearly the owner likes living as if itâs 2020. It should be mentioned that the employee at the window when I asked about ordering at the drive thru was not wearing a mask or gloves if the owner expects employees to follow social distancing protocol.
So I download UberEats and place an order for a Box Combo and the $3 upcharge for a large drink. A meal that would normally cost me $16.99 if I ordered at the drive thru or dined in ended up costing me about $28.37 after tax and delivery fees. Presentation upon delivery was very lackluster. The meal came packaged in one of those white âThank Youâ bags and a plain white Hefty to go box. The Box Combo was supposed to include four tenders, but I only got three. I did not get a thing of their famous sauce, I instead received a plethora of ketchup packets. I didnât even get my Diet Coke as a fountain drink, they gave it to me in a can as if I had pulled it from a 12 pack at Walmart. Negative points because they did not include my side of coleslaw or piece of Texas toast. Additionally, they donât allow you to substitute the coleslaw for extra fries or the fries for extra coleslaw. They do however give you the option for an extra sauce for $1 apiece; maximum of 2 additional sauces per order.
Now for the food. It was basically inedible. My chicken tenders, despite looking cooked, were actually raw on the inside. My fries were stale as if they had not made a fresh batch in hours or they were still frozen. My can of Diet Coke wasnât even cold in the slightest, it was room temperature.
If you value good food, good service, and an overall pleasant dining experience, DO NOT order Raising Canes. After the experience I had, I hope this location closes and they bring Applebees back because this was probably the worst fast casual dining experience...
Read moreI have been to Raising Cane's several times, and it is arguably one of the best places for a fast-food dining experience. From the moment you step inside, the inviting atmosphere stands out, blending casual comfort with a friendly, upbeat vibe. Itâs an ideal spot for both quick meals and laid-back gatherings with friends or family.
The menu at Raising Cane's is refreshingly straightforward, focusing on their star offering: chicken fingers. These are consistently tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, hand-breaded, and cooked to order, ensuring a fresh and delectable bite every time. The Cane's Sauce, a unique tangy and savory dip, elevates the experience, making every chicken finger a delight.
Complementing the chicken are the crinkle-cut fries, always served hot and crispy, and the Texas toast, which is buttery and grilled to perfection. For those who enjoy a bit of variety, the coleslaw adds a nice crunch and a refreshing balance to the meal.
The service at Raising Cane's is another highlight. Staff members are consistently friendly and efficient, ensuring a smooth and pleasant dining experience. The cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurants further enhance the overall atmosphere, making it a comfortable place to dine.
I have been to Raising Cane's several times, and it provides one of the best fast-food experiences around. Its focus on quality, simplicity, and exceptional service makes it a top choice for anyone seeking a reliably satisfying meal. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a loyal fan, Raising Cane's offers an experience that keeps you coming...
Read moreWe finally tried out Raising Cane's, and I believe this place is all hype.
The food is meh at best.
We ordered: The Box Combo with Lemonade, Regular 3 Finger Combo with Half Tea & Half Lemonade, Regular
The Box Combo came with a little of everything, so I would suggest this as your first meal if you come here to try it out.
It included the Chicken Fingers, Cane Sauce, Crinkle Cut Fries, Coleslaw, Texas Toast, and a Drink.
Don't get me wrong, the chicken was tender and juicy, but barely has any seasoning. It's only good with the sauce.
Cane Sauce is a nice new flavor, I enjoyed a different sauce taste for once.
Crinkle cut Fries are very, very bland and wimpy. No go.
Coleslaw is not very good. Quite dry. You get better Coleslaw at KFC or Publix.
Texas Toast was barely toasted and buttered. I felt like I got an untoasted hotdog bun.
The drinks don't taste like anything? I forgot I ordered half tea and half lemonade. It tastes like a watered-down version. No tartness of the lemonade, and very watered down tea. But it was decent, so I'll give them that.
Staff was friendly, and it didn't take longer than 5 minutes to get our food, but their system for getting orders out to customers is not up to snuff like Chick fil A. They have it down...
