The Original Pancake House is always my first choice as the place to enjoy an amazing breakfast with outstanding service from an awesome team of people including the wait staff, the management, the cooks, and the hosts. I’ve been a customer at this location for over a decade and am always impressed with their ability to serve a delicious breakfast and to help make every member of my family feel loved.
The manager, Ernie is such a wonderful guy who cares for his team and his customers with humor, laughter and joy. He runs a tight ship and fills in the restaurant as needed. I’ve seen him cooking in the back, serving tables, navigating takeout, managing difficult customers and sharing joy with a kids table. He is a diligent and hard worker that cares immensely about making sure people have a great experience at the restaurant.
The servers are all incredible and are pivotal to making the experience so special. Kimberly, Terri, Melissa, and every server that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting at this location are always terrific. They work super hard and are dedicated to serving you with quality food and making sure that you have everything that you need.
Finally, the food is delicious. I’m a huge fan of breakfast and love the eggs, pancakes, bacon, and my favorite, the hash browns My wife says the grilled cheese and fresh tomato sandwich with a side of ranch is the best in the country and my son loves the cheeseburger. I don’t think you can go wrong with any item on the menu. This place has something for every palette. I 100% recommend this place to enjoy a meal and look forward to spending many more meals with my friends and family at the Original...
Read moreI have aten at ht Original Pancake house since I was a kid with my Jewish Grandparents and loved it for over twenty years of memories. Sadly I got a job here for ten months, some of the waitress are great KIM, (Cynthiaa left and was the worst when I hosted and was rude as all can be) CJ is amazing near the window side. Terri brings In most of the loot as she is a great waitress and keeps the place going, In my eyes Kim and her were more like managers than the one I had. I have nothing against Scott but I had Multiple complaints from religious older women that would say they would not come back due to his snapping on employees and curing loudly. He said Good morning once in a while and trained me to be a waitress, and I had a ton of customers waiting for me to be on the floor that were upset when He stuck me into Bussing tables, Watching a young girl dragging a bag of oranges thats over 60 lbs while Poppy is the best and would help me. I NEVER got my tips right, no mater what it was always five dollars here, some days paid some days not, and finally I left to better my life. The food is great- they need to clean up the waitresses who are messed up and will be fine and have a positive atmosphere. I know the owner will read this but I was there on multiple occasions and not once did I get a greeting,Hello or thank you. I wiped windows, did decorations, loved every customer. Hope you all keep moving forward because its BUSINESS when it comes down to it and team work makes...
Read moreWe haven't been in TOPH in a while so we decided to give it another try. Well, we remembered why we never went back. I can only compare this place to either IHOP or Cracker Barrel, if that is even fair.
Food is OK, but not really good. Home fries were on the greasy side with an overwhelming bacon flavor. Eggs were good. I chose Impossible sausage pattie and it was over cooked. Pancakes had good flavor but too dense. And syrup was too runny. Orange juice is freshly squeezed so that was the highlight of the experience.
Place was kinda clean but had a weird smell that I could not identify. Maybe a strong cleaning product mixed with the food. Don't know but I didn't like it. Booths seat cushions are in desperate need of replacement and tables were a bit sticky. Music was actually good.
Service was the best part of it. Our server was friendly and attentive, although she forgot my wife's Pancakes so we had to wait for them and took them to go.
Now, the price was in my opinion, too high. I mean $70 for a salmon bagel with hash browns, eggs with sausage patty and home fries with two orders of pancakes and two OJs? I think it is way too expensive and for the quality of food, is just not worth it.
Overall, is too expensive, place needs an update and cooks need to up their game. On top of that is open until 2pm only. I will keep going to my trustworthy IHOP which is cheaper, with better food and any time I want cause it's open 24 hours. And the pancakes are...
