You need to understand what this place is all about. It’s the MEAT and the SAUCE. As for portions of the basics such as the pulled pork and ribs and BBQ - you will get your money’s worth and then some. Everything else here is NO FRILLS. Very basic. This is a GREAT place to order out from. But “ambiance” it does not have. The place is super clean. But also SPARTAN. Also fair warning for cell phone users - your connection will be cut off inside - the roof is metal and the whole place acts like a faraday cage. Had to wait until I left to post my review. As new residents of Ruidoso, my husband and I are trying local restaurants in order to share dining places with family and friends who will be visiting us in our new home. This is definitely one place I will NOT recommend. The male behind the counter did not welcome us and had a sour look on his face, and when I paid at the register, the girl looked annoyed that she had to wait on me. However, the most horrid thing was the undercooked brisket. I should have taken it back, but everyone had disappeared from behind the counter! I threw the entire meal away. My husband said his sausage was dry and had no taste. We have eaten at 20 restaurants in Ruidoso, and this was the only horrible place...

As soon as we walked in a tall gentleman helped us right away. Gave us instructions on how to order and had us pick drinks. My elderly father needed to use the restroom and both gentleman working were quick to tell us where the restrooms are and both of them were polite and kind. Appreciated that!!! We ordered our food and the brisket was delicious. It wasn't dry. And the BBQ sauce on the table was good. The potato salad and macaroni and cheese was delicious. I'd go again if I was in the area.
