A true artist! Alan has a shop full of the most intriguing pottery and beautiful rock/fossils. My family spring break'd all over NM last week from San Antonio and I have to say his shop was the most interesting up and down the strip, and across southern NM. Not only did I buy as many fossils as I could, but my wife also took home one of his unique egg warmers. While there, and before I took over 30 minutes to chose my fossils, Alan and I talked all about them, how they formed, and how he creates his pottery. You just don't get this kind of experience from shop owners anymore. I wish he was in my home town as I'd be there adding to my collection and talking the day away with him.

This was the most amazing shop I've been to. There are TONS of crystals, geodes, and even his own handmade pottery. The crystals are amazing and extremely high quality, but the prices are super affordable and the most inexpensive I've ever seen at a rock shop! His pottery is absolutely gorgeous, and I also bought an absolutely amazing and unique art doll that one of his students created. You can tell he genuinely cares about sharing his interests and pieces with everyone rather than skyrocketing prices to make money. His name is Allen Miner. Blonde hair. Friendly blue eyes. He had clay on his hands as he had been preparing to create more vases for his kiln. And I could tell he was very happy with his life. Everything in his store from the pottery, the minerals, and the fossils indicated that the store was his passion. I will forever remember his willingness to demonstrate the pottery making process. It is something my children will remember...
