We were in town for the day and were looking for local Mexican food. They advertised an aspired chef and outdoor seating with a great view .They advertised an aspired chef and outdoor seating with a great view, and as It was 530 on Saturday night, the empty restaurant should have given us a clue. . We chose to sit outdoors. The view of the grassy hillside was pretty. The temperature is perfect. However, the dog caged up 3 tables away from us, sweating profusely, not so nice. Table covers were Dias De los Muertos, which we were told was the mexican inspiration for the restaurant. That was all there was for inspiration. The menus was a sparse steakhouse menu. No music, no margaritas, actually no alcohol on the menu. We both ordered the ribeye medium rare, and it was brought to us about 25 minutes later. Well done. For a $25 menu item, it wasn't bad, just ok.The waitress finally came back to check on us and refill our drinks when we were leaving and asking for the check. The food is fantastic! There is a nice variety of choices from steak, chicken, seafood, and more. Chef Ny is incredible and we all were blown away by how delicious and flavorful it all was. The serving sizes are perfect. My husband is super picky and doesn't like subpar food. He has been raving for days. We can't wait to try more items on the menu. My husband and i took a day trip around new mexico and ended here, for dinner. for our anniversary. Service was amazing since we walked in. we sat on the back patio. and not even 4 bites in my husband said “we’re going to come here every anniversary.” and i promptly agreed. our waitress was such a sweetheart. and the rest of the staff that had checked on us at any point were also extremely kind as well!
