Cheryl my waitress and the food is the reason for the 5 stars . I reserved a graduation brunch party for my husband . I’ve been dealing with a girl name Tip. She didn’t seem to be very accommodating nor friendly. However, I dealt with her because I’ve had other parties here as well as other friends and have always had a positive experience. But Tip really almost ruined such a special day.
As soon as my friend arrives to help me set up for the party. No one seem to know that there was going to be a party happening. I had to rush to find out what was going on. I arrive and ask Tip why no one was aware of my party. She claims she told everyone .
Next, I asked for a small table so that I could set up a mimosa bar that I told Tip about weeks before the party and Tip said there were no small tables she could get me or anything she could get me to accommodate my mimosa bar. Then comes in Cheryl. My savior. My angel. She was so lovely. She was so sweet. So professional. So accommodating. The opposite of Tip. I told Cheryl about my mimosa bar and immediately said she was going to help find a table or something to set my mimosa bar on and she did ! She brought a push table. She also brought a second one so I could set up a bucket of beer I had for my party. Tip I thought you said you didn’t have anything ??? She made sure I ordered food for myself. She made sure I actually sat and ate my food. Got everyone’s order correct the first time. She was to my sunshine on my rainy day literally.
I hope someone can address this individual Tip . She almost ruined such a special day. Cheryl could definitely teach Tip a lot. Cheryl should be part of management if she isn’t already.
Cheryl THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING! You are amazing!
And Tip please be nice because at the end of the day the people who eat here are the ones that help u bring a...
Read moreUpdate: After going back after 2 years, not much has changed, asked for scrambled eggs and pancakes, the eggs were more of an omelette chopped into little pieces that was just hard an not soft like actual scrambled eggs they were "liquid processed eggs" instead of freshly scrambled eggs with actual egg whites mixed in. Pancakes were very dry and not good. The server asked me if we enjoyed our meal I said no and told her that eggs were poorly made and not good, she proceeded to laugh it off and walk away. She cleared our plated with both plates not even half eaten. No manager came to us to check in or ask us if the food was good. Once again this place has an issue with customer service and food consistency. Honestly does not even seem as though a manager is even on the floor. And the lack of communication from any owner or manager to patrons on google reviews shows they really don't care. As someone who has worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years and a resident of Rutherford this is a shame that the service and the quality of the food is lacking. Many other spots around here to spend my hard earned money on. Will not be returning to this location ever again. If the owner or General Manager is reading this you guys need to do better at communicating with all of your guests not just your regulars that you see on a day to day basis and being aware of your...
Read moreWe had known about this place for a while but never had the chance to visit until we moved to East Rutherford. It was a diner someone had recommended to me because they knew I was vegan and thought I would like it. They are known to have some vegan breakfast options so I was excited to go and try their food especially because I was in the mood for some really good breakfast food. I invited my friend to the diner that day it was her birthday and I thought this would be a nice way to start the day. It was a Saturday afternoon and the place was busy but not packed. It looks like a regular diner and the decor was ok, nothing special. We both ordered the tofu scramble dishes. She ordered the vegan Popeye which is tofu with fresh spinach, garlic, vegan Italian sausage, mushrooms & avocado. I ordered the Roman which is tofu with garlic, tomato vegan Italian sausage, onions, peppers & mozzarella They both were really good but they were cheap with the tofu! On another occasion I went with my children and tried the Veggie Melt, and the Veggie Burger and we thought they were good. The nachos were our favorite but the portion was not big enough. I didn't have any problems with the service as many have complained everyone was nice. As a vegan it was nice going to a regular diner and having options but the smell of bacon is strong as you would expect it to...
