Disappointed. To start, my wife and I wanted to take advantage of their outdoor seating as we have a small child; plus it was a very nice day outside. It was pretty odd to be lead through the kitchen, past the dumpster to the rear seating area, but I get it. Everyone is making due with what they can. My score does NOT reflect the above. We started our meal with the Steak Nachos. The steak was yummy, chips were fresh and overall delicious. However they gave a literal tablespoon of guacamole. For $14+, that’s kind of messed up. And no it wasn’t an accident; the container is a tablespoon. It was weird that the nachos had zero spice to it though. When you think Mexican, you think spice. Nothing we ate had any kind of spice. My wife ordered the shrimp tacos. Between our appetizer and our main course, it appeared our waitress forgot about us because she never came back. The food runner did bring the rest of our food and put in a desert order for us but our waitress never came back out. Back to the tacos. While the shrimp was well cooked, it lacked seasoning. The tacos overall lacked any flavor. We finished our meal Tres Leches and Churros (to go). Each desert was $6. The tres leches was literary half the size of any tres leches I’ve ever gotten and they had squirted some Chocolate Syrup on top. Needless to say, all we tasted was chocolate syrup. The churros were just 2 churros cut in half.....for six bucks. No dipping sauces, no nothing. Eventually I got tired of waiting for my waitress and went inside to pay. The food while edible was nothing to write home about. Oh and the inside felt like a cheap banquet hall. Will not come back as there are plenty of other Mexican restaurants that just...
Read moreLet me start off by saying. I LOVE Mexican food, but this place is not it. I order spicy Guacamole which btw they don’t have. So the waitress offered me Jalapeño which is great so I thought. The guacamole to start off with is great for one person not two for the price of 11.99 on top of it being a very small portion it’s fake guacamole nothing fresh about it. You can tell it’s with the fake guacamole and they probably mix it with 1/3 or a real Guac if that!! I’ll show you pictures. I ordered the enchiladas steak which was 20 bucks for barely any meat and it tasted ok. I’ve had better at Charritos in Boulevard east. I don’t care about something being over priced, but quality of food should be good and what Mexican restaurant doesn’t have spicy guac or have the option to make it spicy? I can’t believe they charged me 4 dollars for jalapeño I noticed this after I was done eating. The waitress should have made me aware ok we can make it spicy, but they are going to charge 4 dollars for NOTHING!!! I paid 40 bucks for lunch here. Again the money isn’t the issue if the food was great quality!!!!!! It’s not on top of that when I asked the waitress why did you charge me 4 dollars for jalapeño she said oh that’s our price I asked where did it say that on the menu! No where !!!!!!!! Horrible and who charges 4 dollars for small slices of jalapeño to add to your guacamole!!! Crazy on top of your fake guacamole!!!!! Honestly quality over quantity any day. Their quality of food sucks and could be a lot better. You want to charge people for things and cut corners. No way. Highly disappointed I rather a whole in the wall authentic Mexican...

So I stopped in for a boozy brunch and my god they did not judge us at all when we walked in with two bottles of wine at 12:30 PM. The location is super convenient as it is around the corner form a liquor store and the prices are very reasonable to pick up something for either lunch or dinner.
So we started off with the chips with guacamole and salsa and kind of ate that for a while and relaxed over wine and conversation. The chips were fantastic, tasted homemade and weren't greasy or overly salty. It was just perfectly seasoned and either with the homemade salsa or guacamole was a great chip! The salsa was definitely a pleasant surprise because it was not red or green, it was like a yellow but trust me it was amazing and delicious. I would definitely return and eat just chips with guacamole and salsa again!!!
We shared the chicken tostadas and tacos al pastor! My favorite was the chicken tostadas because it was light and refreshing and it had a great blend of Mexican cheese, sour cream, and some leafy greens! Although it's not super LARGE portions, each dish came with three which was literally perfect! I literally felt like it was a perfect blend of savory and refreshing!! Would definitely order this again.
I enjoyed the tacos al pastor but it was such a strong and robust flavor that I just wasn't feeling it that day. It had a great kick to it but for me personally the flavor was too overpowering. By my friend was absolutely in love with this dish.
