Wendy's — Restaurant in Rutherford

I am furious! I went to Burger King, first, at about 11:45 PM, Saturday Night; and had no problem ordering a meal, even though I was a walk-up. By contrast, and unfortunately; I decided to get a "Frostie", as well. The Wendy's was right next door, and the Dining Room had closed, for the evening, so I tried to walk up, to the Drive-up Window, and order a "Frostie" (I had tried, first, to order, at the Pull-up Kiosk). The Window Attendant, first shut the window, in my face, as I tried to order, and called for The Manager, who told Me, that they do not accept "walk-ups", at The Drive-up Window (I assume that this, applies to Bicyclists, and other two-wheeled vehicles, as well). She somewhat curtly told Me, that They do not accept "walk-ups", at The Drive-up Window, but would serve Me, "This Time". I realize there is a robbery, and assault problem, but that's no excuse, for them, to "turn away", legitimate customers, at the Drive-up Window, after The Dining Room has closed (I also had a similar problem, at a McDonald's in a "bad" area, one time; but that's no excuse, either). These restaurants are here, to serve all Customers, regardless of their Clientele's Means of Transportation; and they are just as likely to be robbed, and/or assaulted; by someone in a car, so there is no legitimate excuse, for This Policy. Wendy's Menu, has gone "downhill", in My Opinion; since Dave Thomas retired, but I still occasionally ate there, and I have been a loyal Wendy's Customer, since They opened their first restaurant, on East Broad Street, in Downtown Columbus; many years ago; but no more. Until this Policy is changed, and non-motorized Customers are allowed, at the Drive-up Window, after The Dining Room has closed; I will no longer be, a Wendy's Customer; perhaps, not even then. There is no excuse, to discriminate, at the Drive-up Window, Period (I happen to be White, and I was casually dressed, but properly; and was courteous)! **EDIT 08/24/2025 WENT TO WENDY'S AROUND 7:15 P.M. SPENT $40 ON 2, 10 PIECE CHICKEN NUGGET MEALS. ONE FOUR-PIECE CHICKEN NUGGET KIDS MEAL. AND CHICKEN WRAP MEAL. asked for barbecue for all 4 meals. And asked for a lot at the window. He said he put them in every bag. Went home and there was only 2 barbecue sauces. It's just very annoying and inconvenient especially when you have kids who won't eat their food without that sauce. Also because of how many times I asked for it so that there is no miscommunication. My advice is make sure you are through the bad guy at the window even though it'll take longer but you have no other choice to make sure you have everything you wanted and paid for

HORRIBLE AVOID THIS PLACE GO TO BK OR DIFFERENT WENDYS. I spent over 30$ tonight and spend 60or more a week for my family at this Wendy's. The kid taking the order is awesome The lady who handed me my food at the window was so rude that they lost my business until I hear she's not there anymore. This wendys location is by far the worst. They are really rude have really bad service and always have an attitude with the customer. I come here on the regular and it’s the same girl and the same shift which is the night crew I believe who are always putting a Face or always want to argue with the customer. It makes no sense to work in a fast food place if your not gonna like when someone asks for extra sauce I spend 30$ on food here and only got 1 sauce. When I asked for more sauce they gave me an attitude and threw it in the bag and were really rude and disrespectful. They lied about not having salad I seen them hide the salad for themselves. Either way I don’t recommend this wendys location st all. Clifton is way better and they are more polite.the bacon for the baconator fries is always way to dry and very hard to chew it’s not fresh at all.
