Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Rutland Charter Township

When I walked in I was one of 2 people in the restaurant. I was told “ someone will be right with you” and I waited at the counter. Was greeted by a young girl, she seemed impatient. While I was ordering, I let her know I have a dairy allergy and asked her to notify the cooks- so gloves could be changed or food could be separated from other peoples that contained dairy. She sighed very clearly irritated, and I told her this was the only place in town to get cheap chicken tenders, which I should not have had to explain. I stood at the food pickup spot and watched her stand there and not say anything to the cooks. She proceeded to box up my food, and give to to me. When I got home I opened my box to see not only the wrong sauce, but also bread- WITH BUTTER. After I specifically said- I have dairy ALLERGY. I can move past her not telling the cook- even tho that is a huge issue. But now my food is contaminated with dairy. When I tried to do the survey- it told me I was unable to do to my receipt info not matching anything in their system. Very annoyed with this lack of care for allergies, even though my allergy is mild- thank god it...

I’ve gone there several times in the past few weeks for lunch, and several times I’ve had to go back inside, and have the kids who are working in there remake my order cause either they can’t read, or don’t know what certain things are. Today, 5-8-25, I went in there and ordered 2 hamburgers, ONLY KETCHUP, not pickles, not mustard, not onions, ONLY KETCHUP!!! Mind you I only have 30 minutes for lunch! First burgers I got had Ketchup, pickles, and mustard on it. I go back in, I have them fix it! I go back out to my vehicle with the 2nd set of burgers, these had MUSTARD AND KETCHUP! Ok, where do you get MUSTARD & KETCHUP from JUST KETCHUP?!! I go back in, the guy that made them is starting to give me an attitude! Finally on the 3rd try they got it right! The manager needs to either 1 have a mandatory meeting with his employees, or start overseeing the operations down there! Today was completely unacceptable, START READING YOUR...

The food and service is usually good. This time however it was not. They have awesome chicken strips but mine were cold and a not good crunchy. The blizzard was overflowing way too much. I asked for a lid when I ordered and did not get one. I asked again when I received my food and they gladly did it. The problem is that they just scraped off the top and slapped on a lid. The blizzard was oozing out all over. I pulled over and when I picked it up to clean it up the lid was actually just sitting there and I ended up with ice cream all over me and inside my car. The blizzards have been a consistent problem. Everyone is usually kind and helpful.

Different occasion. Wednesday, June 23rd, young lady that helped me order a cake was absolutely fantastic. There were two of them. Very helpful and kind.

Today, July 17, upsetting. Standing there talking to two different coworkers with my food...
